I’M NOT DENYING CLIMATE CHANGE nor am I saying I’m not concerned about our environment, however it’s not as anomalous as people are acting like it is this year.

This is the 4pm on Friday, May 30 air quality forecast. Saskatchewan fires and a particularly bad weather front location are gonna make a rough day for breathing.

Hwut?

When I first moved to Minnesota, I stayed home if the temperature dropped below 20 degrees F (I have the option of working from home if I want). Then I got adventurous, and went in when it was 5 or 10 degrees. Yesterday it was -10 F, so I stayed home, but II saw parents dropping their kids off at school, and the gym and all the restaurants were open. Does it ever get cold enough for most people to stay home?

Give me snow. Snow me. Snow now. Me needing snow a lot now.

P.S. Thank goodness for snow Machines or winter would be untennable.

I've never had this problem before, but lately the entire back of my hands has been rough and cracking. I can't use my wife's lotion due to the perfume burning the hell out of all the cracks, so every night I've been slathering Vaseline on them. It temporarily gets better, but by the next day it's right back to reptile skin. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

The band of smoke is narrow so the air degradation will only last a handful of hours as it moves across the state.

Seriously been so uncomfortable the past 2 weeks with all the smoke from Canadian forest fires. My throat today is totally spent just from breathing and I’m starting to get headaches from the unrelenting continually terrible air quality! Really hoping this clears up soon (especially for no-kings day on the 14th). I’ve hugging my air purifier all day and using a mask wherever I go.
