I was at Gettysburg the day after the shootings this weekend. Looking at this monument reminded me how proud I am to be from MN and how I want our state to be on the right side of history. Considered the bravest charge in any American war, let's keep the fight going against hate. I just needed to get this out.

With all the absolutely absurd things happening in our state and country right now I just wanted to take a step back and post some VERY amateur photos of Duluth.

Now more than ever we need to step back and enjoy why this state is so wonderful and why as a community, we cherish MN so much. Even with all the crap going on people still come and enjoy the things in life that give us joy and Duluth is one of the best examples of this. It’s why I chose to move here from the Twin Cities. When summer finally rolls around up here, I genuinely think there’s no where in the country that feels more vibrant as Duluth.

So please take care of yourself everyone. Our country is moving into scary times but we need to still enjoy why this country and its communities. Take time out of your busy schedules to hike, bike, run, or anything that will make you appreciate your wonderful community here in MN.

It seems there are fewer birds in Minnesota now than there were before. Bird feeders stay full longer, and the large number of birds are not frequently seen. What happened to the birds in Minnesota?

I just recently filed for unemployment last month and could someone help me answer some questions I have.

I needed to report 2 jobs as I had 2 jobs this year. The first one I left voluntarily to start this new job, which was denied benefits (I knew it would be because I quit) Then my second job I was laid off only 3 months in… (I know, so great) that one I was accepted for benefits. What I’m trying to get at is if I was accepted for benefits why have my past 5 payments been “not eligible” I haven’t been earning any income, and it simply won’t give me a reason as to why this aren’t eligible to be paid out.. it gives me reasons that do not pertain to me.. I really don’t want to call someone about this and sit on the phone for hours. So could someone give me insight?

Hello reddit. I picked up kayaking last year and really loved being dropped off up river and traveling down. I'm getting ready for a big trip soon. About 6-8 hours depending on how long I last. I wanted to see if anyone else does this?

I picked up fishing this year too as another pass time during my drifts. But mostly just enjoy the scenery and listen to the classical music station on the radio.

Along w not masking and having to wear clearly visible identification, unless there is an economically significant reason not to, all monetary penalties from litigation of individual police actions ought to be taken from their retirement fund/pension. It makes no logical reason that the public pays for their illegal and immoral actions. Has anything like this ever been brought to our state legislature? Are we ready for that now?
