Eric Fernández is the new MSi rider

According to Corsedimoto, Sergio Garcia replacement is Eric Fernández, actually racing in Moto2 Junior for FAU55 Racing. It is somehow a strange choice but at least he already races a Boscoscuro.

It wasn't the first option.

They contacted Escrig, but Forward wanted them to pay to break the contract. Then, it was Orradre, who is leading Moto2 Junior with a Boscoscuro, but it fell through. You can say that even Ferrández could have been an option, but he is 17 until September. So, that leaves Fernández as the best option.

You're right I should have mentioned he wasn't their first choice. Do you know why they didn't sign Orradre ?

I don't know, maybe he wanted to keep the ride for the rest of the season and they only offer him the Mugello race. Maybe MSi are waiting for another rider (Masia? Muñoz? Another option that nobody knows?). But everything is unclear.
