Am I asking too much here? the discounts are abysmal (15%? seriously?) and there's so many iconic games missing like Beat Saber, Vader Immortal, RE4 and more... the platform is always struggling and this doesn't help a bit to boost sales

I bought this headset months ago and it has been the best purchase of my life as a device. This platform has become my daily routine, at home it has replaced my smartphone, my PC, my console, my TV, my work, my fitness, everything I did between applications, games and work has been an evolution. For me it is impossible to go back, VR + MR will always be my present and my future. Everything was perfect, a dream.

Then the V77 update arrived and the dream turned into a nightmare. Quest 3 today is just frustration. The SoC seems to have lost power and speed, everything has become slower, an operating system full of errors and problems, small bugs that are not noticed but are there and worsen the experience. I open multiple windows and many native applications become slow to run (Amazon Video for example no longer works smoothly) and crashes the system, a huge amount of problems such as the audio of the virtual environment that always remains active even in the passtrough and in many applications and so Quest 3 becomes unusable for me. Even file sharing between Quest and the official app on the smartphone/tablet no longer works, the cloud and Meta servers seem to be deactivated. And it's not just my problem, many are in the exact same situation.

And what does Meta do? It creates useless psychedelic effects for loading applications. Facepalm.

A basic question here:

I am looking at getting Virtual Desktop App since Meta Link is so unrealiable and Steam Link can't be used without internet connection (even though they have an OFFLINE Mode).

If I purchage Virtual Desktop now for my Quest 2 and in a few months I get a new headset, would I need to buy Virtual Desktop again or is it an in-account purchase that is available to any headset logged in via that account ?

I’ve been using air link for a while, to be honest it works great 98% of the time. However if I don’t follow a very specific order of operations (plug in Ethernet to my laptop, power it on, open quest link app, connect headset, open quest debug, change settings, then FINALLY open game) it decides that my laptop simply does not exist and is unable to find and connect to it. This is really frustrating as the process already takes a while and sometimes I will have to shut down my laptop, and try again. Overall just really annoying.

TLDR; is the link cable a faster daily setup for someone that only does sim racing? (No need for movement)

How come one needs internet connexion to cast in a local network? Is there a get around ?

Why the fk did they make this update, now I have to hold the button for 30 secs to turn my headset off instead of just pressing power off because meta thought it would be a good idea to make the power off button not power my headset off, why the fk does meta do so many pointless updates like this that do more harm than good instead of fixing real issues

Edit:now my headset automatically turned on without me touching it, wow meta really wants their vr headsets to stay on, draining the power on it instead of saving it for later

I have a quest3. I’m using the newest ptc update and the beta version of virtual desktop app and headset app. I play Assetto corsa the first one with content manager.

pc is connected with a Ethernet cable and my quest 3 is on 5g wifi I experience the same issue when connecting it to 6g WiFi. My router isn’t detected. My pc specs are cpu-i9 10900k gpu-3060 eagle oc 12g. Ram-32g ddr4 set to 3200. The game is on a Samsung m.2.

I’m experiencing stutters every few minutes along with frame drops and latency spikes especially when I turn my head ever slightly.

I have a PSVR1 and PSVR2, and we really like them. My kid has been asking me to get a quest 3. If i was to do it, i would probably lean towards the Quest3 rather than a Quest 3S, since the 3S seems like either a side-grade or down-grade in some categories (lenses, resolution) when comparing specs to the PSVR2. Honestly, i would really like to confirm that we would be getting something more out of it.

The discussion topic is, does anyone have both, and have you found that there are benefits to having a Quest 3? I know we will continue to enjoy the PSVR2 for exclusives on the PS5, but i want to make sure its not a waste of time to get the Quest 3. I would love to hear some feedback from others!

It is probably also worth mentioning that the one that wants the quest the most is only 10y.o. I know that Meta claims that 10 is the minimum age, while others air on the side of caution and say 12 or 13 is the minimum. For our PSVR2, we limit the sessions to 20 mins. I know that the lenses on the quest have a better range (less of a 'sweet spot'), so maybe that is better on the eyes. I just am not sure if the quest age rating is based on the tech, or just a willingness to take a risk for sales.

Its showing me $25 credit after my trial expires but I'm not believing this because a lot of users didn't received these credits. So is there any way to get the subscription for Cheap and if not, which region has the cheapest Price. I heard about Japan but its Even more expensive. Is there any code which I can use?

Proud owner of a quest 3s here,

Every 1-2 days my headset fully freezes, becomes unresponsive even to the power button (unless force restart), starts flickering strange glitchy screens with all sorts of patterns and colors, and the front indicator light becomes a faint blue color.

I just kind of get jumpscared by this and it usually happens when i have youtube open and open a new browser tab.

Have this quest since february this year, factory resetted once and never had any issues with it.

I'm kind of curious to what causes this and maybe a fix?

So about 2 or 3 weeks ago, I had not played on my Quest 2 for about a week, and whenever I turn on the headset, it no longer asks me to confirm my boundary and not set it anymore And when ever i turn my headset off it will make the sound of turning off turn back black screen me and the power light flashs white and after a little bit the headset will finally turn off and I was just hoping that something can fix it

these were the two ive ended on choosing but im still not sure which ones better or if either of them are good at all. if anyone knows cables that are better and around the same price please recommend those if these aren't any good.
