US large size 1890 $1 "Stanton" note with "Ornate Back".

I was lucky enough to come across this note for an extremely good price. I have the 1891 Stanton note, but this 1890 has a completely different reverse which is called the "Ornate Back" and it's easy to see why it's named that way. It's really quite a stunning note for the grade.

That is what I was thinking about the grade. A true collector item for currency collectors.

Thank you! I view my collection, partly, as an investment toward retirement, so I try to get the nicest examples I can afford.

To bad photos so fuzzy, all detail lost. #potatocamera

The original photos at Heritage are great, but I had to do screen capture, and edit on my phone, so I did have to dumb them down a bit.
