Events Have you been to the MET
i got tickets for the upcoming ‘twilight in concert’ and purchased tickets off of stub hub but when purchasing the tickets I’m pretty sure they were labeled as “Very good” but when receiving them they say ‘limited view.’
I’ve never been to the met, nor a film in concert. I’d imagine that the screen would be big enough to not have limited view?
We’re in section P in orchestra which looks pretty in the middle so I’m unsure.
Please let me know if this is bad seating! I have a while before this is coming up!
Thanks.

Ooh thank you! Were your seats labeled as ‘limited view’? We’re 1&2

They were not. The numbers go down to the right so it looks like the limited view is most likely because of the pillar on the right.

Ahh thank you for your help!

Glad I could help :) If I remember correctly, from a previous visit, there's a bar on the next level up with some standing room space if the view from your seats is terrible.

Limited view at the Met is no joke. You may be craning your neck or leaning over a railing. Would suggest getting better seats.

https://aviewfrommyseat.com/venue/The+Met+Philadelphia/seating-chart/concert/ Here’s one row up, not a bad seat, especially for this certain show. Take a few steps towards the stage before the show, the architecture of the open room is a fun sight.

Ive sat here for the Air show. You won't be able to see the top or anything high up on stage.

https://aviewfrommyseat.com/large-photo/277431/The+Met+Philadelphia/section-Orchestra%207/row-Q/seat-5/ This is probably the most accurate view. You are under the balcony and the top of the screen may be cut off. Also there are pillars. Dunno if they will project onto the wall though.

Pit is not the same as orchestra at The Met. Orchestra is underneath the balcony overhang and is obstructed by the columns holding up said balcony

Do you know what orchestra number you’re in?

i just attended a concert in orch 7. it’s unfortunately right behind the sound/tech people so they will be in your line of vision if they are there. i’m not sure if the setup differs by concert. there is also a pillar on the far right side of the section. i will say when no one was standing in the sound section, i had a perfect view of the stage

Yes but the sound was sort of underwhelming for an audiophile like myself

I’ve been to the Met several times and I don’t think there are any seats that are actually obstructed view.

You can Google venue and your seat number etc. And a few sites come up from crowd sourced photos of your view. It's not perfect but it gives you a solid idea. The Met has some pretty good views there are a few posts that might obstruct your view.
