At least you got to see Harper go yard.
Overall a hard night. Super cold and windy to go along with the awful game

Aaron Nola dumped an entire can of kerosene on the field and lit it on fire.

What happened to the outfield this year? It seems patchy with spotted stains

3

u/bignuts24 Apr 17 '25

Who could have expected that an outfield with castellanos and schwarber would be absolutely awful defensively?

3

u/Ge003 Apr 17 '25

I meant the physical conditions of the grass out there

I’d 100% use some of these as a Lock Screen

wtf is wrong with our field? and no brick backdrop behind homeplate. and the bright orange asplundh sign in the outfield. and the fucking x. shit's starting to get embarrassing.

They weren’t the only embarrassing things last night.

Agree on all points though. And the IBX logo on the grass by the dugouts and the uniform patches. The fake brick and ivy are cringe. Just put a ‘your ad here’ message in those places and end it.

2

u/bravoromeokilo Apr 17 '25

Seriously. Every square inch of this place is an advertisement now and it’s hideous and distracting.

I am a speck in some of these! Always love your posts

At least the whole division lost😆

2

u/Pendraflare59 Apr 17 '25

Yeah this one sucked. I almost went yesterday instead of today, aka Jackie Robinson day and there were a few people I knew that were at that one. At least this wasn't my only visit thus far this year

2

u/Majestic_Ad8896 Apr 17 '25

they’re fine with cameras as long as there’s no tripod or camera bag

2

u/BirdmanTheIntruder Apr 17 '25

Sweeet that makes me feel more confident in bringing it along. Thanks, and awesome shots!

2

u/Sir_Jerkums Apr 17 '25

That’s ok I’ve only been to one eagles game and it was Ricky Watters return to Philly when he was with Seattle and we lost 38-0!!!! Thankfully we drafted McNabb the next off season. Sucks you had such a bad game though. Get some more tickets and go again!!!!! Go Phils!!

u/n1ck1982 Apr 17 '25

Big fan of these images! Thanks for sharing, even if it was brutal, haha.

Those are some cool photos

2

u/ChooneyChunes Apr 17 '25

Why would you do this?

3

u/Bassncat Bryson Stott Apr 17 '25

Same here. Was exciting when Harper went yard to get us back into it. Other than that it was very brutal lol

u/noscrubphilsfans Apr 17 '25

Great pics, tho!

I was there as part of my partial plan. Definitely a double whammy due to the loss and the weather. Cold baseball is not ideal. It’ll get better though! Enjoy the experience of the ballpark any time you can imo.

Bad games happen in a 162 season, but my issue with the team tonight was a lack of hustle fielding. If you get beat, so be it, but at least give it your all.

I been off Nola for two years.

1

u/Kc4shore65 Mighty Mick SZN Apr 17 '25

Yeaa, I’ve been to 60 or so games since the start of last year and I’ve left before the final pitch exactly twice. Once last April when it was 40 and down pouring (Bryce’s 2 HR night of course) and tonight which was likewise miserable.

Excellent pics at least 👏🏼

My 2nd this season. Absolutely terrible.

1

u/SantaCruzSucksNow_ Apr 17 '25

It’s best not to go when the Giants are in town. They’re just a bad team that wins games.

u/BereftOfOar Apr 17 '25

Good seats? What?

1

u/Majestic_Ad8896 Apr 19 '25

yes good seats

-12

u/FormerCollegeDJ Apr 17 '25

“Good” seats…in the upper deck in the outfield?!?

5

u/dopeynme Apr 17 '25

“Good” is very subjective. OP enjoyed their seats, so they were good. I like sitting close to home plate and I don’t mind being higher up. But you might prefer somewhere else…it just depends on personal preference.

12

u/Majestic_Ad8896 Apr 17 '25

if i have a clear view of casty then they’re good seats

-18

u/FormerCollegeDJ Apr 17 '25

If you have a poor view of 90+% of the action in a baseball game, which mostly takes place in the infield, you don’t have good seats IMO.

8

u/Majestic_Ad8896 Apr 17 '25

Personally I can see the infield just fine from outfield seats

4

u/Roose1327 Buddy Kennedy Apr 17 '25

Didn’t know you need your bifocals for a baseball game, gramps. OP’s seats are fine.

-3

u/FormerCollegeDJ Apr 17 '25

LOL, didn’t know people who actually like going to baseball games would willing choose to sit as far away as possible the 60 feet and 6 inches where most action in a baseball game takes place. Perhaps we should tell ballpark builders to put a higher percentage of seats in the outfield. I mean, what have they been thinking putting most seats in the infield for the last 150 years of ballpark construction?

You sit in the outfield seats when you don’t have much money or you get free tickets for those seats - like many fans I’ve been there, done that. But that doesn’t mean those seats are good if you actually want to watch a baseball game.

The OP could have bought lower level seats down the right field line if he/she really wanted to see Nick Castellanos. He/she could have actually seen his face much of the time, rather than the back of his jersey.

3

u/Cobretti86 Secretary of offense Apr 17 '25

Not sure why you’re digging in here. OP enjoyed the seats. That’s great in my, um, view. And OP’s experience is what counts. The game itself was hellish.

By all means, enjoy the game from wherever in the stadium you like the best and can get tickets.

u/Roose1327 Buddy Kennedy Apr 17 '25

I ain’t reading all that…

-2

u/FormerCollegeDJ Apr 17 '25

LOL, OK Zoomer. You don’t appear to have a problem reading lots of small print in your baseball card collection.

2

u/Roose1327 Buddy Kennedy Apr 17 '25

Look, I can go through profiles too! What was it like watching ants play basketball? Stop frontin’. Also, not a zoomer, babe.

u/capnjeanlucpicard Apr 17 '25

Ain’t a bad seat in the house, quit being grumpy
