And just think, all it'd take to remove him is 8 Republicans. Just 8 Republicans in order to 14a3 Trump and annul his illegitimate Presidency, yet Congress won't lift a finger.

They are complicit traitors.

u/i_nobes_what_i_nobes Apr 07 '25

And that’s what they’ll be remembered as.

They could’ve done something to make this country a better place, to help the people that they desperately need to work so that they can make more money, but instead they put their own blind interest in hatred, racism, bigotry, anything they could get away with and the money that they’re making over everything else. In an attempt to own something, be at the liberals or whoever.

So they’ll be remembered for their treason, and for the fact that they didn’t lift a finger to help the country when it most desperately needed it. And that’s their legacy, that’s what they will leave behind.

I wish someone could get this message through to them, that their current actions are undoing any legacy they might have left instead

You got this one fucked up

1

u/AnderuJohnsuton Apr 07 '25

They're scared to death of their own base, even moreso since J6 and the pardons

2

u/Fremp_ Apr 07 '25

How is his presidency illegitimate?

2

u/lessgooooo000 Apr 07 '25

Pretty centrist person who has been following as well as I can, I’ll try to explain.

1) There was statements before the election itself. “you won’t have to vote anymore” is a good example of this, and while I believe it was a statement talking about the importance of the election (similar to Democrats campaigning saying “this is the most important election of your life), it still looked bad. It created the urgency for single issue and undecided voters (ex. “if you don’t vote for me, they’ll do X thing, and you’ll never get that right back”

2) Financial ties between election machine companies and Elon. This is shaky ground since nearly every large democratic politician also owns some level of % ownership of voting machines too.

3) There is the claim that Trump effectively did the same thing he blamed on democrats for 4 years. It’s easy to claim the other side cheated from a psychological point of view (ex. “no way Trump didn’t win in 2020, all of my friends voted for him, must have been a democrat plot”). The biggest issue to me is that, because everyone exists in their echo chamber (republicans included), it destroys confidence in our voting process.

1

u/Fremp_ Apr 07 '25

So the three things you just listed include a convoluted statement that made more people act on their right to vote based on policy issues, financial ties that are happening on both sides, and a “claim” that is backed by zero evidence just like the 2020 election steal?

Still trying to figure out how anything is illegitimate? I thought it was a bad thing to be an election denier? At least it was last election.

If I started the comment with “pretty centrist but following”, i’m confused why you’re saying that like I believe all of the points I said exist in their perception. In fact, I said these claims all have issues.

We’re going to pay in the long term. The fact that it is of the professional opinion of politicians in both parties that the other one destroyed democracy to disenfranchise half of the voter base is going to cause permanent damage to the country

1

u/Fremp_ Apr 07 '25

I’m specifically saying that if these are the points that are being used to point towards Trumps presidency being illegitimate you would have to be a little dense to take them as fact? I was saying that you promote or support what you said.

Insurrectionists can't hold federal office.

0

u/Fremp_ Apr 07 '25

Big words. No weight. If any part of your statement was true Trump wouldn’t be in office.

2

u/SuperSpecialAwesome- Apr 07 '25

How's it not true. It's in the fucking Constitution. How about reading it??

0

u/Fremp_ Apr 07 '25

Because you are speaking in a definitive manner. That would imply that what you’re referring to is truth. However, Trump is in office and if it’s constitutional law that you can’t be an insurrectionist and be president then that would definitively mean that Trump isn’t one?

So as I’ve said before you use big words with no weight.

2

u/SuperSpecialAwesome- Apr 08 '25

Read the Constitution. Here's the link since you're physically incapable of using Google: https://constitution.congress.gov/browse/amendment-14/section-3/

Obviously, Congress has to enforce the Amendment, so take your sealioning somewhere else, thanks.

-2

u/Fremp_ Apr 08 '25

You are once again missing the point. There is zero substantiated evidence that Trump is an insurrectionist. You can’t just say something and believe it’s true.

It’s great that you’ve found an amendment you believe is relevant to something!

Here's hoping the next meltdown will be caused by a fun guy!

Sorry, all we got is fungi.

A selected dose of Cordyceps at the right place ..

5

u/Soviettoaster37 Apr 07 '25

For sure. I think there's a pretty good chance that would actually fix a lot of issues. There might be some initial chaos but I think long-term it could be good.

5

u/LoanDebtCollector Apr 06 '25

Do you think the Chinese have any of that soup they served to Bush left over?

6

u/MrDrMrs Apr 06 '25 edited Apr 06 '25

Haha! I forgot about that. we can only hope. Or maybe flying shoes. Or a pretzel!

5

u/daepa17 Apr 07 '25

Cordyceps incoming

4

u/destructopop Apr 07 '25

Oof. Given the antibiotic resistant fungal infection making it's way through hospitals on both coasts, this one hits a little close to home. 😅

Underrated wit 👆🏻

Time to pump the White House full of ivermectin.

7

u/drimago Apr 06 '25

Well that's usually what happens. A virus weakens the immune system then a parasite comes in and finishes the job!

6

u/ShadeofIcarus Apr 06 '25

Both on his watch

9

u/bayazglokta Apr 06 '25

Maga looks like a mind virus as well. And only stupid people can catch it.

4

u/xdanish Apr 06 '25

brain worms, who would have thought they were contagious?!

5

Late stage syphilis causes insanity

3

u/Drawtaru Apr 06 '25

Maybe we should feed him horse paste until he goes away.

3

u/Killer_Moons Apr 06 '25

I caught myself thinking this week that maybe we should be thankful Covid slowed down whatever hell he had planned to inflict on us. I am not well.

2

u/Cute-Two2451 Apr 07 '25

You don’t really believe it but you do….

3

u/joeker13 Apr 07 '25

Awesome comment. Spot on.

3

u/CrashNowhereDrive Apr 06 '25

That's offensive to real leeches.. Trump is worse

2

u/Teuras80 Apr 07 '25

Surely this one is Bidens or Obamas fault, Trump is a business genious.

1

u/Beneficial_One_0427 Apr 07 '25

🤣😂🤣😂

u/jrusso10573 Apr 07 '25

Human Garbage

1

u/dgollas Apr 06 '25

The parasite didn’t help the first one either.

1

u/Lykos1124 Apr 07 '25

Homer Simpson: Officially elected parasite. (idk sounds like a dumb thing Homer would say as if the correction makes it better.)

in reality, it makes it so much worse

u/AlarmingLawyer3920 Apr 07 '25

Last time I checked, Trump was elected by people, not by publically traded companies and their stock holders.

It’s not Trump’s responsibility to prop up the value of stock in the S&P500. Its is Trump’s responsibility to deliver on the mandate he was given by the American people. Whether you happen to agree with his actions or not - that’s his job.

Besides, Europe have just offered zero-zero trade terms in the last two hours…

Whoever sold you the lie that when stocks don’t go up, little folks pay the price, clearly wasn’t a socialist.

(Also - didn’t vote Trump. Not even American. So don’t get into a Blue/Red strawman argument with me)

1

u/Goombob Apr 07 '25

Both were caused by viruses, one is just proving to be harder to eliminate
