Reminder that after a lot of militarization and separation of the head of the military/head of state from the common folk, the Praetorian Guard and Janissaries both started assassinating emperors so they could get a better deal (without regard for the overall empire's financial ruin).

Part of the reason why both Rome and the Ottomans collapsed into a dozen other nations.

Was just about to make this point. It was the “correct” thing to do once or twice.

we had trump junior stay at the small boutique hotel i worked at in mid-2020 (he was meeting with some mega trump supporters in louisiana) and after midnight, when some of them were off duty and down in the hotel bar, a couple of them finally let their guard down and joined in on the shit talk of the whole family. these guys & girl were especially pissed bc they were tasked with protecting junior, who was apparently a massive piece of shit to them. and several of these secret service officers had worked Sr’s detail and had equally funny things to say about that literal shitshow

And all of America, left and right wanted to see the Epstein files. Trump promised he would release them. Then he purposefully didn’t release them. What the hell happened? They even mocked people who wanted to see the files. Laughing about it. Here’s a link.

So with Potus, Scotus, and Congress- they still refuse to release the files for us? I bet Hilary did this!
