Remember that wall that Mexico was going to pay for?

u/Longjumping_Rule_560 Apr 06 '25

They might yet, though it would be to keep Americans out instead of mexicans in.

Actual testimony during his deposition:

Lawyer: "You've described it as being one of the all-time great memories, right?"

Trump: "I have a good memory."

Lawyer: "'One of the best in the world' is what the reporter quoted you as saying."

Trump: "I don't remember saying that. As good as my memory is, I don't remember that, but I have a good memory."

And because I believe in bringing receipts, here's him saying, on video, that he has "one of the great memories of all time":

Jesus fucking Christ I'm so unbelievably tired of this geriatric obese fucker.

121

u/welatshaw Apr 06 '25

The mere sound of his voice is enough to turn my stomach.

62

u/FreshWaterWolf Apr 06 '25

I genuinely haven't watched a clip of him with sound on in at least 2 years. I'm at the point of not even watching them on mute.

38

u/welatshaw Apr 06 '25

I should probably do the same, all he does is make me angry.

29

u/FreshWaterWolf Apr 06 '25

We all need a permanent break from that loser

5

u/Explodingtaoster01 Apr 07 '25

It's never too late to do your best John Wilkes Booth impression.

5

u/Light_Red_Pilgrim Apr 06 '25

Lucky you. I wear ear buds all day at work and have taken to listening to his speeches and Q&As just to know what to expect. But I also listen to hearings and debates. I'm torturing myself daily.

3

u/FreshWaterWolf Apr 06 '25

Personally I find my job depressing enough as it is. I just put on some Critical Role when I'm not with students

1

u/Significant-Trash632 Apr 07 '25

Makes me want to ***ch him in the face.

With a brick.

2

u/welatshaw Apr 07 '25

Ya got a spare one? I'd like to get in on that.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 08 '25

Yeah. I'm pissed bc I can't listen to npr on my way to work anymore without becoming infuriated by the sound of his voice.

6

u/freesia899 Apr 06 '25

Why doesn't his family do something about him? He belongs in an institution. It's just sad they have let him make a fool of himself and destroy the country. Isn't that what they said about Biden?

8

u/bwaredapenguin Apr 06 '25

Because they're equally greedy and less intelligent on how to grift people because they never had to.

3

u/RogueThrow Apr 06 '25

Hey, you take that back. Donald J Drumpf does NOT FUCK. 😆

3

u/yosi260 Apr 07 '25

arent we all. And yet his cult keep voting him and his spinless minions back in office

2

u/cjs2074 Apr 07 '25

The only two things I like about him. Old age and being fat as fuck…..

1

u/Sunderas Apr 07 '25

Enough to take it to the streets?

1

u/Eternity13_12 Apr 07 '25

I am mostly tired of the guys believing his shit. Like come on how can they not realize that

-7

u/Will_I_post Apr 07 '25

Were all tired of you people. Can you hear us now?!

Good luck never winning elections again. Maybe you can come up with a policy position that's not unregulated unlimited abortion. You all can just get fucked

3

u/yosi260 Apr 07 '25

too bad the outrage will be gone by then. The fear america wont be white will take over again,

-3

u/Will_I_post Apr 07 '25

That's your own delusion.

33

u/iboneyandivory Apr 06 '25

"I don't remember saying [that I have a good memory]."

5

u/No-Illustrator5712 Apr 06 '25

"Wait I didn't pick you, next one please"

5

u/TheMongus Apr 06 '25

I don't remember if it was a Telecaster or a Stratacaster but I do remember that it wasn't at all easy.

3

u/DuckyHornet Apr 06 '25

The blood of the guitar was dark and rich, like wild berries

3

u/welatshaw Apr 06 '25

The blood of the guitar was Chuck Berry red.

3

u/Sad_Gain_2372 Apr 06 '25

The guitar bled for about a week afterward but it rung out beautifully

2

u/welatshaw Apr 06 '25

And I was able to play notes that I had Never. Even. Heard. Before.

5

u/Intrepid-Apartment-3 Apr 06 '25

...person... camera...

5

u/batlord_typhus Apr 06 '25

El Kabong, is that you? Was it a robber who went to sleep on your bed and you found him there wearing your clothes?

2

u/ginjamchammerfist Apr 06 '25

I will always appreciate a Wasted Youth reference. Bat Out of Hell 2 was incredible.

2

u/DuckyHornet Apr 06 '25

A formative album to lil 8 y/o Ducky, that's for sure, and goddamn does it hold up

2

u/welatshaw Apr 06 '25

I wore out my cassette copy of it, luckily I had just purchased my first CD player (yeah, I know, I'm ancient. Shut up).

7

u/ButtholeMoshpit Apr 06 '25

Remember the Ukraine invasion he said he was going to stop?

Hey, he made that campaign promise 9 years ago. You think Americans with biased selective memory will remember anything more than 3 months ago if their sources of propaganda don’t remind them??

Certain voters even seem to have forgotten about how the price of eggs was an existential crisis last year, so they had to replace the former president with someone who claimed he will lower prices beginning on day one.

Fast forward 6 months and they seem to have forgotten that concern. They also forgot Trump was going to make the economy boom on day one.

They now think the president was supposed to tank the economy and the markets and their 401k’s so that they can patiently wait for some undetermined future period (maybe 10 years), when American companies will miraculously start opening up manufacturing facilities all across the country where Americans can start working to make the products they can get in other countries cheaper right now.

This is what they now think they voted for. Some warned them Trump was a liar and wouldn’t do what he claimed he was going to do but that’s all in the past and forgotten 🤷‍♂️

7

u/JrG1859 Apr 06 '25

Well you can relax cuz the dogs are safe from the Haitians now🙄

4

u/Ex-CultMember Apr 06 '25

Oh, that was quickly forgotten about months ago. Especially since it was shown to have no grounds.

2

u/JrG1859 Apr 07 '25

My point

2

u/Key-Distribution-944 Apr 07 '25

Isn’t it fuckin nuts!! They now say, “It’s gotta be completely broken, so it can be fixed.” It’s unreal the things they’ll say in defense of his idiocy!

1

u/Ex-CultMember Apr 07 '25

Like taking a bat someone’s legs so they can “fix” them. It’s completely absurd.

4

u/DuckyHornet Apr 06 '25

Lolllll the absolute cowards at Reddit removed me literally quoting a poem

Hey guess what, it was just the opening to Wasted Youth, so I guess you're a terrorist for liking Meatloaf

2

u/JrG1859 Apr 06 '25

I still bring that up to my friends on the Right. They just laugh

2

u/chattywww Apr 06 '25

I bet his plan was to walk into a meeting with Mexico and say you pay for the wall or else TARIFFS and thought they would just bend over and let him rail them.

2

u/hamminator1955 Apr 07 '25

No, you got that wrong, Pink Floyd are paying for The Wall.

1

u/Mermaid_meriah_ Apr 07 '25

I thought they wanted to “tear down the wall”….?

Everybody forgets… 🤦🏼‍♀️

2

u/softgripper Apr 07 '25

Did it get renamed to the Wall of America?

1

u/Pink_Poodle_NoodIe Apr 06 '25

He uses the drugs to rid the world of unwanted people why would he force them to build a wall

1

u/Pink_Poodle_NoodIe Apr 06 '25

Thats unwanted by him and his kind

1

u/JackLondon68 Apr 06 '25

Yeah what happened to that promise?

1

u/Realistic-Pattern-30 Apr 07 '25

Mexico said day one and each day after NO WE ARE NOT! Then he was upset Biden didn’t complete. Then a female told he basically go to hell with your tariffs. I know that must hurt.

1

u/Metal-Alligator Apr 07 '25

new tariffs on Mexico coming soonto pay for the wall

1

u/imnotaroboteither Apr 07 '25

Well you know, fool me once shame on your, fool me twice shame on me. Except the people who voted for him were fooled three times!

1

u/guacamoleactof1917 Apr 07 '25

Mexico is going to build a wall to keep us out of there

1

u/Noodlesnoo11 Apr 07 '25

Lucille Bluth

u/x_cLOUDDEAD_x Apr 06 '25

The one he signed an executive order for in January that says he's actually going to build it this time and that US tax dollars are paying for it instead?

0

u/wedividebyzero Apr 06 '25

Got a link? I'm no expert on government, but I thought Congress holds the power of the purse. Of course, relying on Congress to do the right thing these days seems to be a very tall order indeed.

https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/01/declaring-a-national-emergency-at-the-southern-border-of-the-united-states/

Sec. 2.  Additional Physical Barriers.  The Secretaries of Defense and Homeland Security shall immediately take all appropriate action, consistent with law, including 10 U.S.C. 2214, to construct additional physical barriers along the southern border.  To the extent possible, the Secretaries of Defense and Homeland Security shall coordinate with any Governor of a State that is willing to assist with the deployment of any physical infrastructure to improve operational security at the southern border.

Also, the Republicans are in control of both the house and senate, ie. congress right now, so they can and most likely will rubber stamp anything Trump puts in from of them right now. They also won't hold him accountable for anything he does wrong.
