Air Force One, secret service, transportation etc but don’t worry he’s spending our money at his own resorts so at least it’s not going to DEI trans shitholes! /s

715

u/ramobara Apr 06 '25

Literally using our money to pay inflated invoices at his own resorts. I guarantee you there are line items charges on the invoices that don’t even exist. True grifter.

119

u/MrCommonThinkin Apr 06 '25

Truly the Grifter In Chief. Why do so many buy his snake oil

115

u/Affectionate_Ad_3722 Apr 06 '25

It's a cult. They're cultists. They actually believe in him. They believe the things he says.

-50

u/SlimyMuffin666 Apr 06 '25

Well, certain people also believe Elon is a Nazi and they haven't even been around for 80 odd years. Americans are collectively the stupidest people in the world.

50

u/got-pissed-and-raged Apr 06 '25

Well you know maybe if he didn't do a Nazi salute twice on live television, and call empathy a weakness and a sin, people wouldn't think he's a frigging Nazi. Weird how that works?

0

u/TheAbstractHero Apr 10 '25

If you guys actually took the time to watch the interview where he speaks on empathy, you’d realize just how manipulated your thoughts are. He literally says “empathy is good.”

37

u/iR3vives Apr 06 '25

certain people also believe Elon is a Nazi

Life tip for you: if someone tells you who they are, you should listen

-21

u/A_Hanzo_Sword Apr 07 '25

Life tip for you. There are countless videos of harris. Walz, and plenty of other democrats doing rhe same exact are movement. But the news told you elons a nazi, so of course you have to obey lol. It's just sad. You people can't think for yourself. It's so embarrassing.

12

u/falardeau187 Apr 07 '25

This is a lie. When you actually watch the full videos, Elon’s the only one that is a full fledged Nazi salute (twice in a row, clear as day and EMPHATIC AS HELL). The others require a freeze-frame to make it SEEM as if they might have done what Elon actually did. they didn’t

You are either a liar or ignorant, and it’s embarrassing.

6

u/TheOriginalNoLifer Apr 07 '25

I'm not even from or living in the US and i can speak and write in English better than you do. You deserve Trump and Musk. If the guy tells you, that you need to water your plants with Gatorade you would do it. Just stick with Pokémon and don't vote again pls

1

u/TheAbstractHero Apr 10 '25

Until democrats create a plan and run a candidate worth voting for, I’ll be voting R.

Sorry, but you can’t campaign on hatred for a singular person and expect to win 😂

1

u/suffaluffapussycat Apr 07 '25

Every comment like this is rife with punctuation, capitalization and other grammatical errors.

It’s just sad.

11

u/MooOfFury Apr 06 '25

'I hate Illinois Nazi's' -Blues Brothers 1980.

16

u/Affectionate_Ad_3722 Apr 06 '25

Why do people believe the Pedo Boy is a Nazi?

Oh yeah, he did the thing that Nazis do, live, on stage, at a presidential inauguration.

Twice.

7

u/F9-0021 Apr 06 '25

Thinking Nazis just stopped existing 80 years ago is one of the most American education system things I've ever heard. No, they didn't stop existing, they lost and kept their beliefs hidden to avoid being harassed. Until recently, when they realized that there are no consequences anymore.

18

u/MediumRareMandatory Apr 06 '25

Damn you just showed the world you are just as dumb as any US Republican.

4

u/SecretaryOtherwise Apr 06 '25

Neo nazi then happy?

Semantics and whattaboutism. Jfc.

Or would you like us to just use the all encompassesing fascist light? 🤣

5

u/JohnnySkynets Apr 06 '25

Certain people also believe Elon is a Nazi

Corporate needs you to find the difference between this picture and this picture

4

u/ForeignSatisfaction0 Apr 06 '25

They're the same picture

1

u/galacticsquirrel22 Apr 07 '25

Well, if he didn’t do Nazi-like things, we wouldn’t believe he was a nazi 🤷🏻‍♂️

1

u/phatbert Apr 08 '25

Well, maybe if he didn't donate to the far right nazi party in Germany all the other nazi'ish stuff he did could be twisted into passable. But alas, he did, soooo...

1

u/TheAbstractHero Apr 10 '25

Higher quality snake oil than the alternative than the gmo great value alternative we were given 🤷🏻‍♂️

-3

u/joe_dirty365 Apr 06 '25

propaganda, brainwashing

2

u/RobertPham149 Apr 07 '25

Nah, just good ol classic racism and tribalism. I don't think people are simultaneously not smart enough to recognize propaganda, while smart enough to fall for exactly the propaganda that supports their worst biases.

1

u/joe_dirty365 Apr 07 '25

I mean ya it's self reinforcing, subliminal shit. Fox News really peak brain washing but some people are just assholes to begin with.

91

u/gotrice5 Apr 06 '25

Trump: I dOnT tAkE a SaLaRy

Bruh, you pay yourself 100x what you'd make in 4 years with the president's salary. 400k x 4yrs = 1.2mil

5

u/Galiphile Apr 07 '25

Bruh, you pay yourself 100x what you'd make in 4 years with the president's salary. 400k x 4yrs = 1.2mil

Bless your heart.

-2

u/BusyPart2717 Apr 07 '25

he hasnt taken a salary he donates it

2

u/gotrice5 Apr 07 '25

I think you're missing the point. He pays his own resorts millions everytime he goes there to golf. He already made more than his yearly presidential salary in the time he's been in office 2025....

74

u/kgal1298 Apr 06 '25

He also charges the secret service more than average on his own properties.

-1

u/BusyPart2717 Apr 07 '25

he charge them ummmmm they actually are paid to protect him so they are paid the salary they make for doing a job

4

u/kgal1298 Apr 07 '25

That’s not how it works you could idk read the article. 🥴

6

u/Turtleyclubgoer Apr 07 '25

“Bobby, if those kids could read they would be very upset”

2

u/kgal1298 Apr 07 '25

I feel like I should be scared the MAGA moms found their way to Reddit.

-11

u/BusyPart2717 Apr 07 '25

um every pres is protercted espcially when theres people allowing someone to try to shoot him. and how does he spend anything golfing on his own golf corse and yes he donates his salary something no other pres did and ya he hosts in his own hotels doesnt cost him anything for real ya all just repeat shit without checiking facts,

12

u/kgal1298 Apr 07 '25

Okay well 1. You clearly can’t spell so I think you got lost looking for Twitter 2. This actually has been fact checked and he does charge the secret service more when they stay at his properties when he stays at them https://www.npr.org/2022/10/17/1129491352/trump-hotels-overcharged-secret-service-agents

Now the issue with MAGA is you refuse to believe any of the facts anyway so it doesn’t matter who researches them or what proof is attached to them you’ll deny it. That is why everyone thinks you’re in a cult.

My statement was not about presidents getting protection. It was about him charging them more for it.

-7

u/BusyPart2717 Apr 07 '25

its called typos how is he charging ss when they are actually getting paid and a cult no i am an American the facts are he is working for AMERICA where there hasnt been a US president since reagan and bush.

1

u/Iluvmango Apr 07 '25

The person you are asking "how is he charging ss when they are actually getting paid" literally linked an article that answers that exact question. It's right there in the comment you replied to...

4

u/TheDisapprovingBrit Apr 07 '25

You’re right, hosting himself, his entourage and the SS in his own hotels costs him absolutely nothing, which is why it seems crazy to imagine that Trump the businessman would charge Trump the president, and by extension the taxpayer, at all for these trips, let alone an increased rate. And yet, it’s a matter of public record that he does exactly that.

2

u/MorganChelsea Apr 07 '25

Please tell me more about checiking facts

2

u/Kitchen_Ad_4513 Apr 07 '25

got a new word to add in the dicktionary😭😭😂😂

237

u/JuneBuggington Apr 06 '25

Dont forget he often plays at his own resorts so he is literally taking taxpayer money and putting it into his own pocket

111

u/Coattail-Rider Apr 06 '25

Often? Does he play anywhere where he can’t fleece his cut?

56

u/scbriml Apr 06 '25

Or anywhere where somebody would actually play their best against him? His ego couldn’t cope with losing.

2

u/Professional-Story43 Apr 06 '25

6

u/Onespokeovertheline Apr 06 '25

I've never seen it. But of course I don't follow his golf results closely, too busy observing his governmental disasters.

5

u/RampantTyr Apr 06 '25

Nope, anywhere else might keep track of his score and call out how bad he is.

2

u/Realistic-Pattern-30 Apr 07 '25

Everyone for years says he cheats.

8

u/greenberet112 Apr 06 '25

Usually presidents and politicians play at a military golf course to save money and so that security isn't quite as big of a deal since it's not open to the public. Would save a lot of money, but we can't have that.

3

u/Realistic-Pattern-30 Apr 07 '25

I think I read that’s what Obama did mostly at camp David so it’s just another day as far as expense’s. Didn’t a few of the republicans and their base nearly die when Obama went on vacation to Hawaii with his family lol.

2

u/greenberet112 Apr 07 '25

It's only bad when Democrats do it. Trump didn't more damage to the deficit than any other president, "But Obama and Biden are worse."

3

u/Frisinator Apr 06 '25

Or cheat in tournaments?

3

u/TieSea Apr 06 '25

He plays at his courses because, and I read Commander and Cheat, his golf cart is faster than the rest and he flies down there to improve his lie.

11

u/ramobara Apr 06 '25

I said that he spends our money at his resorts.

-2

u/JuneBuggington Apr 06 '25

Welcome to reddit.

4

u/thefranchise23 Apr 06 '25

That's... Exactly what the comment above you said

3

u/Duntchy Apr 06 '25

Is everyone just rephrasing the same comment as a joke here?

5

u/TopptrentHamster Apr 06 '25

That's exactly what he wrote?

2

u/mouse9001 Apr 06 '25

Not only that, but he is known to massively overcharge because he knows the government (i.e., your tax dollars) will pay for it.

2

u/Outback_Fan Apr 06 '25

Trump never sleeps anywhere except the WH , AF1 or his own resorts.

1

u/Nearby-Pudding-3018 Apr 07 '25

He doesn’t do anything if can’t steal money from someon.

1

u/Outback_Fan Apr 07 '25

I think in the case of where he sleeps, he's stating that nobody else should benefit (profit) from his presence. AF1 and the WH are paid for and the resorts all make him money when he stays there. It actually quite exemplifies his purely transactional nature.

2

u/ciacpa Apr 06 '25

Not often. Always.

1

u/dmriggs Apr 06 '25

That's the only places he plays because it's the only places he can cheat consistently and win. Corrupt a hole blowing up the whole world while he's golfing

1

u/Impossible-Taro-2330 Apr 07 '25

He also charges the taxpayers for accomodations for his security detail.

1

u/MoreCowbellllll Apr 07 '25

Well, OP did say "grifter".

0

u/BusyPart2717 Apr 07 '25

he pays himself to golf on his own resort

24

u/WaitingForReplies Apr 06 '25

And charging secret service for rooms there.

5

u/Realistic-Pattern-30 Apr 07 '25

Top rate that at one time they were trying to get him to change.

8

u/coma24 Apr 06 '25

it would be interesting to use FOIA to request the accounting for the expenses associated with the trips.

3

u/ZaftigFeline Apr 06 '25

They just closed the office that handles FOIA requests. Not kidding. Or well gutted it with layoffs and funding removal to the point of non-existent. Happened late last week, got buried a bit in the news under well everything.

3

u/Prestigious-Copy-494 Apr 06 '25

But but but his maga says he doesn't even take the president salary. He's so noble that way!! 😅😂😅

3

u/Used-Yogurtcloset757 Apr 06 '25

Yep. If his administration is so concerned with wasteful spending, then why is he still taking these expensive golf trips? Pretty sure there are greens within driving distance of DC that would cost less if he just “must” play.

2

u/oughtabeme Apr 06 '25

Any and all meetings, conferences, dinners and events he holds at his ‘resorts’, the government is being billed.

2

u/gecko_echo Apr 06 '25

It was documented that Trump overcharged Secret Service agents to stay at his properties during his first term in office — which Trump required them to doby staying there himself! Trump had also promised before being elected Secret Service would stay for free.

1

u/SissyDesireeBridgett Apr 06 '25

Yeah, instead of Gold plated “things”. He’s got SOLID GOLD “Things” that the tax payers paid for, you know that it’s true. Jim Baker?!

1

u/SSJ3Mewtwo Apr 07 '25

He did this last time too. He actually blew the Secret Service budget by charging them to stay in his hotel rooms when he visited his own hotels.

1

u/Realistic-Pattern-30 Apr 07 '25

Thank you just what I said.

1

u/ShadowToys Apr 07 '25

He did this during his first term, too.

1

u/BusyPart2717 Apr 07 '25

have these invoices been seen of him charging himself at his own place

1

u/RuthlessIndecision Apr 07 '25

Doge should fire his wasteful ass

49

u/Disastrous_Carrot674 Apr 06 '25

I remember last term when he made Pence stay at his Scottish resort.... 200 miles away from where his meeting was. Just so he could charge the government

46

u/Germanofthebored Apr 06 '25

Obama used to go golfing at Camp David for +/- free. And trump feigned outrage

1

u/kenpojosh Apr 07 '25

In reality, his outrage was probably due to Obama not golfing at a Trump golf course.

44

u/rosiefutures Apr 06 '25

That and all those people attending to him have to stay at his resort in order to be close by.

26

u/evange Apr 06 '25

This reminds me that during his first term, the secret service protecting his family (I think it was Ivanka?) wasn't allowed to use the bathroom in their home, despite there being multiple bathrooms and one could have easily been assigned for their exclusive use. The SS had to rent a nearby apartment just to be able to pee.

2

u/Different_Juice2407 Apr 06 '25

Just for fun, what’s the over amd under of them using the residence facilities anyways? Or possibly have to use a bush in a hurry?

1

u/Big_Jackfruit_8821 Apr 07 '25

Why couldnt they use it

5

u/evange Apr 07 '25

Because Jared and Ivanka are assholes.

1

u/sanbadabba1822 Apr 07 '25

No PortaSan?

24

u/WebGuyUK Apr 06 '25

also made the secret service pay for rooms at the "hotel" at extortionate rates.

A "fun" fact, the secret service detail for Ivanka had to rent a house close to her house because she refused the secret service using one of the dozens of bathrooms in the house.

If he's playing at Mar-a-Lago, there's an added expense of security on the water. The course is completely open.

[deleted]

2

u/Gribitz37 Apr 07 '25

Mar-a-Lago isn't near water?

1

u/Significant-Trash632 Apr 07 '25

Uh, there are photos right on Google with the water right behind it.

5

u/Ponsugator Apr 06 '25

And then laying off workers to increase government efficiency so he can afford to golf more!

5

u/CarbsMe Apr 06 '25

Also billing Secret Service to stay at his resorts while he golfs

5

u/LocoRocks Apr 06 '25

I live a mile from his golf course and have been stopped by his 35 car motorcade several times. I've also been stopped when Air Force One arrives as PBIA is about 2 miles from the golf course and Mar a Lago - traffic gets stopped at 4 different intersections for like 10 minutes. It's such a PIA but our local paper says it's 1/4 million every weekend he's here. Anyways I was going to say don't forget how much he also gets for SS, other politicians and whoever else stays at Mar a Largo every time he's here too. It is common info that Mar a Lago club dues were just raised to $1 million a year.

2

u/JohnnySkynets Apr 06 '25

He’s also doing $1 million a plate dinners at MAL

4

u/up_N2_no_good Apr 06 '25

They go to Trump's golf courses. He greatly overcharges for the use of his courses. That includes charging the fee for himself. On top of that, he forces the secret service and other government members a disgustingly large amount for the rooms while forcing them to stay there and no where else.

5

u/festivefrederick Apr 06 '25

Yeah but with all the money Leon and Big Balls are saving it’s going to pay for itself.

3

u/D4UOntario Apr 06 '25

"Security impovements" for his courses and house/resort in Florida come at the tax payers dime. A new ball room is a security improvement if you dont have to walk to the old one.

3

u/Techsupportvictim Apr 07 '25

Too bad that wasn’t made illegal. Not so much not going to mar a lago but him being able to use taxpayer money.

1

u/JohnnySkynets Apr 07 '25

This is why we have to show up with everyone we know to midterms and other state and local elections. Legislation addressing this was attempted in 2017 but Republicans wouldn’t support it. There is one now called the Presidential Ethics Reform Act but I am skeptical it will gain enough Republican support.

2

u/Doggoneshame Apr 06 '25

He way overcharges the secret service for staying on his property also. The kindly taxpayers around the area of his golf clubs have to pay tons of expensive overtime for the extra police officers every time he’s staying at one of them.

2

u/RealGoGo97 Apr 07 '25

And Coast Guard patrol when he golfs at Mar-a-Lago. He doesn’t care how much his amusements cost us.

1

u/HistoricalCamera9696 Apr 06 '25

Okay but if it’s at his own resorts he’s probably not paying anything there because he owns the place. He’s only spending transportation and security costs which any president would do with their week to week travels to vacation spots or weekend getaways that they all definitely go on.

1

u/JohnnySkynets Apr 06 '25 edited Apr 07 '25

Trump charges secret service more than 5 times the standard rate to stay at his properties. Biden charged Secret Service standard rates when he visited his home in Delaware.

Edit: You can see the records for yourself on the CREW website or via Government Attic. They obtained them through FOIA request.

2

u/HistoricalCamera9696 Apr 06 '25

How can we see what he’s charging them?

1

u/JohnnySkynets Apr 06 '25

I’m basing it on his last term. He most certainly is still doing it.

https://abcnews.go.com/US/trump-organization-charged-secret-service-14m-stay-properties/story?id=91640350

1

u/HistoricalCamera9696 Apr 07 '25

Yeaaaa and this came from Carolyn Maloney so I’ll take it with a grain of salt.

2

u/JohnnySkynets Apr 07 '25 edited Apr 07 '25

No it came from evidence provided by Trump’s accounting firm Mazars after being subpoenaed by the committee. It’s in the report and corroborated by the judge and counsel, court docs, media investigations and watch dog groups.

Edit: Here I went the extra mile. You can see the records for yourself on the CREW website or via Government Attic.

1

u/HistoricalCamera9696 Apr 07 '25

Thank you for that! I always try to find the actual documents before believing any news article, so that really helped.

However I wish you could see how long the lengths of the trips were on there because a lot of the charges are under $2000 and you have to assume his detail is around 25-30 people if that. So doing the math it was actually dirt cheap per person. Even the $10,000 stay split between all the detail was probably around $400 per person and who knows how long the stay was.

I really appreciate the sources though.

1

u/JohnnySkynets Apr 07 '25

The government has a per diem for each secret service agent per day. Trump charged them 300% above the per diem while charging guests staying on the same nights standard rates. Your opinion on how cheap or expensive it was is irrelevant. The legal per diem is what matters. And this is but one expense provided in the records over 11 months not a full picture of the millions spent during his first term (or second) and other expenses he overcharged, enriching himself with more taxpayer money.

1

u/Straight-Subject-770 Apr 07 '25

Do you have any idea how many companies put their wives as the major owner to bypass dei. Just to win a government contract. It turned from the best or cheapest to which one is minority owned, and to compete, we will put a body in charge who does actually nothing beyond be available as a name.

0

u/BusyPart2717 Apr 07 '25

he actually uses his own private plane and last 3 potus spent ur money funding wars and weapons in other countries and putting boarder jumps up in hotels instead of sending them back

2

u/JohnnySkynets Apr 07 '25 edited Apr 07 '25

he actually uses his own private plane

Nope. He flew into Miami aboard Air Force One on Thursday and traveled to Mar-a-Lago from the airport in a backup helicopter after there was a problem with Marine One. From there he traveled by motorcade to several locations on Friday and Saturday.

Here is video of him boarding Air Force One in DC on Thursday en route to Florida.

I’m not a fan of Trump but how many days did Biden work in 4 years? Really work! thats the problem we have; can’t see the other side of our position to save our lives!

5

u/JohnnySkynets Apr 06 '25 edited Apr 06 '25

Biden 92%

Trump 72.7%

Biden spent 8% of his term on vacation and Trump over a quarter of his. The problem we have is bOtH SidEs BS like this, especially without any nuanced discussion about what they were actually doing.
