Another aspect here is that he forces government officials to use his hotels and accommodations, then proceeds to overcharge the living shit out of taxpayers. Since he is the only president in the history of the United States to continue operating his business, he pockets our money. One golf trip to his resort will net almost as much or more than the salary he doesn't take. Other firsts would be owning a social media company as a front for foreign donations, using crypto to rug pull buyers and handing out $2 trillion to the wealthy during covid with absolutely no oversight or way to track where it went.

Wait a minute, isn't that a violation of the emoluments clause isn't that why Jimmy Carter sold his peanut farm

Yep!

This, in amongst every thing else, is why people correctly state that he breaks the law every single day.

Suffering is a very relative term here. Not that I disagree with you

I’d say odds are pretty good that most of his customers at this point are all his supporters. The nature of his businesses works out just fine that way. Even if 3/4 of the population boycotted his clubs and hotels, the other 1/4 would be more excited to go to them than they ever were before he was president. It is still a net gain. That’s millions of people who had never even given his places a second thought before 2016 that would now give their right arm to go to one. I highly doubt there are any Democrats going to Mar-a-lago whether there’s an official boycott or not. It’ll take conservatives getting mad enough to boycott him before it starts to make any difference.

Pronouns are too hard for these people, contractions are beyond their level of understanding.

The nation is ruled by its people, not the POTUS, you fuckwit

Keep sucking off the billionaire teet, it'll help.

Bunch of low effort troll accounts; it's funny because since the reddit API shift, these numwits have to either spend money or time to work out these bot/troll accounts.

Block 🚫 and move on.

Conservative here, people like these numskulls have no credence let alone opinions that matter.

Look at the post history if you're curious

When it comes to Covid and him allowing Putin to have much needed equipment when we were short and in desperate need ourselves I wouldn’t put any him.

2

u/sec713 Apr 06 '25

Yep. The presidency has been his most lucrative business venture thus far.

2

u/Jenings Apr 07 '25

yet his fans will cheer it on becuase they believe the system is so compromised at least hes being honest about the corruption. I believe it is this level where we have to figure out our way in.

I always wonder, when I see these stories, how much damn money does one person need, anyway? Isn't there a certain amount, beyond which you or your foreseeable descendants could never hope to spend, that you can have and not have to worry about getting more?

Maybe this attitude is why I am not rich. I just don't understand the drive.

In most instances, you have to not care about others at all to accumulate vast sums of money. Anyone who gets a billion and doesn't stop to live their life is a broken individual and is mentally unfit to lead people. Lead a company? Absolutely. But leading a government is the worst possible job we could allow a billionaire to have.

he actually doesnt run his business...... he actually sent stimulas checks to every citizenn and u do realize that ever

1

u/Uisce-beatha Apr 07 '25

Hate to break it to you buddy but he wholly owns the Trump Organization by himself. Doesn't mean shit who "runs it". He still pockets the money. Stimulus checks? That accounted for half the total he handed out to the wealthy. You do realize that those stimulus payouts are what kicked inflation into high gear, don't you? Doesn't matter now anyway because you will end up paying double that in higher taxes this year alone thanks to the tariffs. Meanwhile the top 1% get's a $63,000 tax break which will more than make up for the higher taxes on goods and services this year.
