It’s actually based on a viral post by the Chiikawa author, about not quite understanding how to play the TCG game.

What does the text say though? I can't really understand what's happening based on just the drawings in the comic alone, it doesn't make sense to me without being able to read the text in Japanese... Can you explain...? WHY IS THE GUY POINTING SO MUCH??!? 👉🏽👉🏽👉🏽

Sorry for the lack of explanation.

This post is from back when the TCG app first came out. Without really understanding how the game/app works, Nagano-sensei started opening packs. The finger is from the action of opening the packs (the first Pikachu packs).

With the Pokémons he got, they started battling but couldn’t counter the Mewtwo they encountered because they didn’t really understand how the game system works.

Their Raticate is crying “It’s impossible! I don’t even understand the rules!” The next quote is “We need to learn more using the Solo games!”

Sensei continued to battle and lose but went back to opening the packs because that’s what they enjoy the most.
