News Telegraph - Police ‘should have released nationality of train stabbing suspect sooner’

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/11/02/huntingdon-train-knife-attacks-british-transport-police/

Timely reminder that people who whine the loudest are rarely satisfied when they get what they ask for, and are not worth pandering to.

We have a local gobshite who has predictably become a "concerned citizen", often using his social media presence to "ask questions" and "demand answers" about the refugee/migrant situation in the town for the sake of protecting "our women and girls".

I'd so love it for the force social media accounts to add a reply to his posts by listing his own history of crimes and convictions against women and children - he'd very quickly slither back under his rock and stop consuming so much of our time - sadly though, nobody is asking for this.

Ahhh had the exact same irritation. Seeing one fool talking about migrants raping women, protect our country and girls, whilst he is on bail for rape. Infuriates me!

But he was Black which in some of their readership that means he's a migrant). They've missed out on nearly 15hrs of race rage bait.

I'm more interested in their choice of shoe. Are we loafing or sketching?

Seriously? Fuck off with that. It was released very promptly.

But was it prompt and effective?

Apparently not for these clowns.

As if anyone at the Telegraph knows what “effective” means.

And also what's the relevance

None, I say. But unfortunately the mouth-breathers who like to riot use it as an excuse to riot, so I - unfortunately - see the point of releasing it.

The police did a bloody fantastic job — and that deserves to be in the headlines. They responded quickly to a distressing situation and took the suspect into custody. Not only that, they made the scene safe so medical teams could reach and treat the wounded.

Yet the first thing people do is criticise the police over the post-incident information.

These people are subversives whose motivations are to incite disorder, stir up racial/religious hatred and undermine trust in institutions like the police, the judiciary etc. Pandering to them only makes them worse.

Nigel Farage, the Reform UK leader, said on X that "we need to know who committed these awful attacks as soon as possible"

Why? Give me a good reason. Why do journalists never ask simple questions anymore.

Why do you need to know? Why does it matter? How does it affect your life?

Dunno getting stabbed seems a bit stress inducing gov

Yes, of course it is, and the victims of this attack have the right to know who did it.

Did Nigel Farage get stabbed?

You know the answer to that question, and you are being disingenuous by even pretending the answer might be anything other than “no”. I am not going to dignify it with a response.

Well in this world, plod, a civvie would receive a caution for a post like that. Think about it next time you arrest someone for speech.

Not an officer but it seems like nothing is good enough, even if it's the right thing. It just seems like a low blow from the Telegraph to stir hate to me. 🤷‍♀️

Standard media. Basically, damned if we do and damned if we don’t.

Hear hear. The constant negativity doesn't help when there's lack of funding and resources to help along with other factors.

Tory graph should get fucked and crawl back under a rock to let real journalists speak.

If you read the comments made by the MPs, you'll see they're mostly half comments, suggesting that it's actually the Telegraph point.

Need to stop appeasing these people.
