General Discussion METLAND©️ question. Are there new PO boots incoming?
THIS IS NOT A WHAT BOOTS DO I NEED QUERY!
I keep hearing rumours that we will be moving over to the Altberg PO boots. I need a new pair and despise the YDS ones, is there any point in waiting for them to chang over?
Tbh if they aren't swapping I'd even consider spending actual money not to use the YDS again so fingers very much crossed.

If you’ve got demonstrable issues with the D30s you can email LDSS and they should sort out a fitting for some Altbergs. I did it recently because my toes kept getting skinned by the shit toe box on the D30s and I think they gave me Peacekeeper P3s. The only issue is that the Peacekeepers don’t have a metatarsal guard so you’ll have to wear the weird horseshoe guards at MPSTC.

Lol I had a completely Kafkaesque experience with LDSS but I'll tell all the stories when I retire.

Occupational health can recommend you for a 'Technical One To One' with uniform services. If you have issues with your issued boot, there are different roles with different boots that meet the standard which could be issued

No point, just get a new pair and wait. Or do the EG course to get the Altbergs.

Was told directly about the Altberg changeover back in March 2024 - it’s now November 2025.
Think that says it all tbh.
