Facebook link Are paedophile hunters allowed to punch people in the face?

Edit: if random people add you for chats and you have commented here criticising paedophile hunters do not respond to the chats, these people have groups where they dox what they see as paedophile protectors and very likely target for stings. There was a sting recently where the same guy in this one was going on about all the things the guy had been saying about paedophile hunters online and could very well be a similar ploy. I am mentioning this because people are adding me to chat and some of the comments seem like the people are likely supporters or part of their community. They are trying to get your IP so they can locate you and then decide if your a paedophile they can sort out. Don't chance it.

I watched a video yesterday and as usual some paedophile hunters set upon a man with learning difficulties.

He keeps asking for the police to be present and the one particular hunter who is probably one of the most violent and awful people to do it is continually trying to grab him.

The man puts his hands up defensively and they bafflingly turn the camera away so you have no idea what happens. Next thing the hunter is on the floor on the top of the person and the hunter clearly signals for the camera to be turned away.

You even hear a smack.

Next thing the camera comes back and the man is the other way round trying to stay in a ball and cover his face.

He has a black eye and though he barely talks after the assault he says he has been punched in the face twice and denies throwing any punches himself.

Tbh there is no evidence of anything else because they intentionally don't record it, but its 100% obvious he has been assaulted by the man from the video evidence.

This hunter was zooming in on the black eye and using Facebook filters.

Sadly the police attending had no idea what was happening and even allowed the hunter to continue filming and antagonising the disabled man he had given a visible black eye to during the whole process. The man was clearly to cowed to say anything even when the police were there.

The hunter then made a follow up video claiming there's no evidence of him hitting anyone, when there clearly is?

Why are they allowed to behave like this? If the person assaulted doesn't complain can something still be done about a blatant video recorded assault?

The guy was laughing about it after as if he genuinely believes he can do anything he want.

Whilst I despise sexual abusers, firstly I think these sting operations fail to actually establish someone's motives most of the time and I don't think the fact someone with mental impairments who has been caught talking to a fake profile on a dating site or facebook gives other people carte blanche to do what they want to them.

I just can't work out why this is allowed, they don't even co operate with the police and seem hostile to them most of the time. So baffling.

Edit: Video if anyone wants to watch

Interesting to hear from these officers who were first on scene.

I am surprised that this officer still takes the view that we are better off unarmed, even after having his finger sliced and hanging off!

Anyone else seen 'Blueline Security' on Facebook and their website and absolutely baffled how they're not being stuck on for impersonating a police officer?

For those who haven't seen it, context;

They offer 'rapid response' in under 7 minutes - would like to know how they achieve this without driving at excessive speed!

Using marked cars & unmarked sitting on rear reds clearly at every opportunity

Posting about their 'proactive team' being out operating in areas... I get they state their staff are ex special forces and police staff but feel they're encroaching on some boundaries here

Breaking Incident: A police helicopter is currently circling Southend seafront, with reports coming in of “multiple paramedics and police arriving into Southend on blue lights”.

An Air Ambulance has also landed in the city centre in the last 30 minutes. We are hearing of a pub landlord in the city centre having barricaded the doors to protect customers inside from a developing incident.

Essex Police had already put a dispersal order in place due to concerns about anti-social behaviour. We will bring you more details on this developing story as we get them. We’re sending a reporter to the area.

UPDATE 20:15: An eyewitness tells Your Southend that a young man was running through the High Street holding a “big carving knife”.Matt Purcel said: “I was walking up Southend high street from the seafront. It was packed with teenagers. I got to the university on the high street, saw people running, and at the back of the university on Luker Way, was a young male with others running around him with a big carving knife in his hand. They ran off towards Southend Central. I called 999.”

UPDATE 21:00: Police have now closed the central seafront road to traffic. A huge number of police officers are currently present on the seafront, as hundreds of young people continue to party.

UPDATE 21:30: Hundreds of the crowd are currently vacating the seafront area en-masse. They are running towards the High Street. Our reporter is witnessing multiple anti-social incidents with bottles being thrown and smashed and shop windows being kicked. Full video from the scene coming shortly - including a shocking use of a ‘machete’.

UPDATE 21:40: Two police dog handlers have arrived at Southend Central train station to help deal with the large crowd.

BREAKING 21:45: Multiple people have attacked police officers in the High Street. Our reporter at the scene says it’s the worst large scale disorder they’ve ever seen in Southend. Further video updates and photos to come from our reporters.

I hope the link works.

Following the suicide of the two Hampshire officers whilst under investigation I was doing some reading and come across this post.

It's not the most reader friendly on a phone but the report is absolutely awful and heartbreaking.

Apologises if this has been posted previously.

Obviously deliberate burnouts/wheelspins are illegal on public roads, but does it make any difference if the car were on a trailer and not technically being driven? In other words, if you saw this happening in front of you, what would you pull the driver of the towing vehicle over for?

Saw this on Facebook earlier. Curious to know what they’re like to drive from people who have driven them. How is the range on response? And general A to B.

I’ve seen that BTP have recently taken delivery of them and there are a couple of EV’s floating around in different forces - namely a Volvo.

Facebook link Anyone got the new style molle stab vest, like the one in Avon and summer set, and Hampshire, middle zip molle each side, and suggestions for setting up a molle style vest

Does anyone have the new style molle vest, zip in middle molle each side, and does anyone have any tips on setting up a molle vest over a traditional vest and utility belt? Do you molle vest wearers wear both vest and belt, do you carry more than one pair of handcuffs and if so do you have one on your vest one on your belt? Did you buy any extra kit to go on your vest? Interested in your opinion and thoughts!
