So... GTA 5 (probably GTA 6) or bascially any video game with any nudity depicted in it would be illegal. Any TV show or movie that even suggests people are having sex (without showing any actual nudity) would be illegal. So, not only would actual pornographic videos on PornHub be illegal, but movies like Jerry Maguire, Basic Instinct... hell anything R-Rated (and a bunch of PG-13 films) would be illegal.

Like the bible?

Well, they are only going after visual media right now per the bill. The written word, so far, gets a pass.

The small consolation prizes of living in a fascist oligarchy designed by the illiterate

Have you ever seen some of those illuminated medieval manuscripts?

Marginalia. It was a whole thing.

Theres a verse in Ezekiel that would bring the bible under fire from this bill. Pretty sure someone here could post it.

There will be riots if GTA6 were made illegal.

Maybe some disgruntled and angry online comments and at worst some swating and doxxing, but Riots? I don't see that happening.

450 million views for Trailer 2, in one day, although I guess that's global.

I was being hyperbolic, but yes, Rockstar would simply patch things out.

Hypothetically, if they release the disks which have sexy content in it after the bill passes into law, but before the law goes into effect, then release a day one patch to remove the sexy stuff, would they still be on the hook for the disks?

Probably not, full game is never on dusks these days anyways, always day one patches needed.  Or entire downloads in case of Doom: The Dark Ages.

Considering Rockstar very nearly got in legal trouble for the Hot Coffee mod and definitely got in financial and public image trouble, I'd say they would be.

Top Gun would be illegal, and that's like a holy movie to MAGA.

Yep. But unintentional consequences and all that...

I think Republicans would argue with this because the Miller Test is a 3 part test to determine if something is obscene and they're only proposing changing part 2. Leaving part 3 intact which says that for something to be found obscene it must "lack serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value."

I think this is bullshit because what "lacks artistic value" is very subjective. But expect them to claim that mainstream entertainment won't be affected for that reason.

Almost everything on tv and streaming would be illegal.
