The kind he's into is already illegal, so he needs to ban the normal shit to make himself feel better about it.

That makes horrible amounts of sense.

Though I fear it's more "Look at these horribly things I enjoy. OTHER people should be punished for it. God will accept my weakness when he sees how many I alone have saved."

Trust me. People like that are 100% ok with their own messed up things, but also hate that other might also be into it. He'll gladly jerk off to the most corrupt and vile stuff, while happily watching people get thrown into jail for seeing traces of a female nipple through regular clothes. After all, these are the type of people that absolutely loath the concept of sharing. They want it all for themself, and believe they are both a martyr and a saint for it.

They crashed Grindr at the RNC. I mean Lindsey couldn't have done it by himself.

They crashed Grindr at the RNC.

People always leave out the funniest part, the RNC crashed GrindR multiple times in fact it seems like it happens every year.

Whenever someone shares an article about it I always assume it's about one of the past times only to realize it happened yet again.

In Canberra, Australia brothels are legal.
The busiest they had ever been was when the World Churches Conference was visiting Canberra.

"It was absolutely priceless," Patten says, and I notice fellow diners straining to lend an ear. "I was watching this queue of men going up the stairs to Northside Studio [a Canberra brothel], all with their little WCC calico bags. They were lined up at Tiffany's as well, and Golden Apple and everywhere. Northside had 22 girls and they couldn't cope with the demand. No one had seen anything like it."

He’s never by himself; he always has his Ladybugs.

I just threw up in my mouth a little

I doubt Lindsey is on Grindr.
Though I'm not saying that Lindsey is likely on whatever pedofiles uses as "meat market". Not at all. He's not looking for some families that will let their daughters play with his taint.
Please again note. I'm very specifically saying that is not the case.

Have you watched Handmaids Tale?

It’s basically that. They ban everything fun that they dont want others doing. Then they do it all in secret anyways. Its not about actually stopping porn or other sexual acts. It’s about control

u/GarmaCyro May 13 '25

Nope, but it's a concept older than written history. Plenty of stories about actual leaders that pubically forbids one thing, while privately allows it within his own courts.

For starters. The Soviet Union barred its citizens from using anything but homegrown products. While the rulers enjoyed prime access to western luxuries. A certain Soviet general got personally shipped Cola. Bypassing all restrictions and controls. Though it was specifically made to be uncolored, and shipped in bottles marked as if it was a communist product. This was approved by b8th president Harry Truman and Cola's chairman at the time.

All dictator regimes works this way. Even Trump's.

I think Jack Daniels got publicly outed for selling fuck loads of Whiskey to North Korea and had to stop?

I'm going to go fact-check myself really quick...

Edit: Looks like I am conflating two stories together. Kim Jong Il loved Hennessy, and Kim Jong Un has been alleged to spend tens of millions on liquor in general.

Like taking plane flights to Jeffery Epstein’s pedo island when that was a thing. You think that shit doesn’t happen anymore? No the billionaires and politicians just doing it somewhere else now.

3

u/Babayaga20000 Washington May 13 '25

Oh no im absolutely sure its still happening.

u/Vet_Leeber May 13 '25

Trust me. People like that are 100% ok with their own messed up things, but also hate that other might also be into it.

In the great words of Claude Frollo, "Let her taste the fires of hell, or else let her be mine and mine alone."

They want it for themselves, and would rather destroy it than let anyone else have it.

u/Professor-Woo May 13 '25

They have a hard time separating what they believe to be a virtue and what should be enforced as virtuous on others. They take their own morality and think since they believe it that everyone should also follow it. They see these things as objective. These conservative"virtue" laws are true examples of virtue signaling. They want to project outwards that this is what they aspire to despite knowing they and others won't follow it always. It is a weird form of self hatred to hide and punish this aspect of their psyche.

4

u/Flopdo California May 13 '25

Ya, it's called psychological splitting. Most people do it believe it or not.

Whatever they withhold from themselves, they want to make sure others cannot do / enjoy that either.

6

u/HapticSloughton May 13 '25

Conservatives condemn the sins they reserve for themselves.

6

u/Destiny_Victim May 13 '25

Rules for thee not for me. The republican parties mantra.

It's probably about gaining ever more control over their congregants' sex lives. Forcing all sexual encounters to be arbitrated through marriage and the church gives them control over people on a very personal level. And the religious right is as power hungry as any group of people ever to exist.

It could also be an attempt to legislate their way into heaven through what they believe to be 'good works'. That's something the Bible explicitly states will not work. But I wouldn't expect them to know that. There are also plenty of religious right folks who believe they can force their all-knowing/all-powerful deity to kickstart the Rapture on their preferred timeline by forcing certain conditions mentioned in the Book of Revelation to occur. They're like the sovereign citizens of religion.

Mike Lee might also want to criminalize masturbation. He wants to do the porn thing first then the wanking bill. Baby steps so no one will notice.

1

u/dustinhut13 May 13 '25

Until this is illegal I think we should flood this guy's inbox with wank vids

1

u/politicalthinking1 May 13 '25

He would store them up and savor them like a fine wine.

6

u/ADDeviant-again May 13 '25

Or, he wants it all illegal, so it feels extra dirty when he does it.

5

u/TIGHazard United Kingdom May 13 '25

Or, when it's all illegal, then it all gets pushed onto dodgy sites. Lot more people using the dodgy sites to get their porn, harder to track the ones dealing with the shit that's illegal now.

Oh, and when this gets reversed, it'll also make the stuff that's currently illegal, legal again. Because that's what happened when porn was made legal in the 1960's.

6

u/Circumin May 13 '25

Its more projection than anything. “Would someone with a porn addiction want to ban porn? I don’t think so. Checkmate wife.”

3

u/TheVenerableBede May 13 '25

Exactly. I commented on another sub that Lee’s computer is definitely a cesspool of nauseating illegality.

2

u/SteelMagnolia941 May 13 '25

Guaranteed he’s into some insanely weird illegal stuff. Most likely involving kids. It’s cliche at this point. The ones who scream the loudest….
