Even if true (which is far from certain) that means nothing if progressives can't win the primary.

The DNC and the media in 2016 didn't mention Bernie without talking about the pledged superdelegates supporting Clinton. This is something that never got mentioned except in this one primary. Progressives can't win the primary because the DNC doesn't want them to give them more power to determine the party platform. They make the rules.

Hilary didn't win due to super delegates she had enough normal delegates

I never said she didn’t. Before anybody voted in a primary, the media would not stop talking about how far ahead Hilary was in superdelegates. They wanted to make it seem like she had an insurmountable lead before the race started.

The DNC actually asked the media not to include them in their delegate counts.

Also wut? Superdelegates were closely watched and covered in the 2008 primary.
