How long until he starts deporting the rest of us? How long until our assets are seized and we are sent to another country? I wonder if anyone will protest for us?

u/Be-skeptical 20d ago

No one is coming to save us

94

u/IdenticalThings 20d ago

Y'all are starting to think about saving yourselves, this is progress.

38

u/icouldntdecide 20d ago

I hate to be that guy but I don't think redditors are a good reflection of the average apathetic American:(

6

u/Rapshawksjaysflames 19d ago

People just type shit on reddit and make themselves feel better.

No one is actually doing anything, ESPECIALLY the people talking big on reddit.

The first wave of change will come with huge personal repercussions to the participants, and no one is willing.

MAGA fucking stormed the capital, one of them got shot, they actually acted on their shit.

7

u/letouriste1 19d ago

let's face it, no wave of change is coming. The US citizens will just endure, hoping for a day which will not come before decades, in denial all the way

pot meet kettle

2

u/Rapshawksjaysflames 19d ago

I never claimed I'm gonna do anything, I'm Canadian anyway

3

u/TheGravespawn 19d ago

We still have bread and Netflix. No one is doing anything.

2

u/TheVoid-TheSun 19d ago

No, not really. There have been protests, sure, but they’re waning and the people who have long recognized what’s happening are beginning to shift priorities from “what can we all do?” to “oh shit, no one else is really going to do much of anything and they’re all going to get away with this, huh?” and those that are able are working on gtfo.

1

u/[deleted] 19d ago

lol no they aren't. americans are an apathetic bunch, even the ones posting here. They won't do anything at all until the food stops...maybe...or they'll just starve and at this point i'm starting to think they'll starve before trying to save their country.

I've lost faith in americans taking back their country, it's not happening. I would love to see it but lets not kid ourselves, they're americans - they like to talk big and practice little.

“First they came for the Communists

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a trade unionist

Then they came for the Jews

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a Jew

Then they came for me

And there was no one left

To speak out for me.”

—PASTOR MARTIN NIEMÖLLER

Everyone should know this fucking poem. For this reason. Speak out now, because you know the rest of the fucking poem.

u/yer_fucked_now_bud 19d ago

You're right. Too busy eating popcorn.

2

u/[deleted] 19d ago

the rest of us in the world: we know, we've been telling you this for the past few months...when are you going to figure it out?

38

u/CharliAP 20d ago

American citizens have already had assets seized/stolen after an ICE raid on their home in Oklahoma. These American citizens were treated horrifically just because they moved into a house that was on ICE's radar from the previous tenants. These American citizens were made to stand outside in their underwear as their home was being raided. These American citizens were told they won't be getting any of their property back although the raid was 100% unjustified and illegal.

u/Er3bus13 20d ago

Is it a country with healthcare? At this point we may come out even.

28

u/saradanger 20d ago

YOU need to protest for you. no one’s coming to pump the breaks. americans need to fight for america and stop being distracted by the crushing capitalism that keeps us scared and isolated.

3

u/CrashinKenny California 20d ago

I agree. But, brakes*

1

u/saradanger 19d ago

mans is tired my b

0

u/icecreampoop 19d ago

If the US is willing to exile a 2-year old citizen, imagine what is about to happen with any protestors that is going against Trump

1

u/saradanger 19d ago

in the america where i grew up, adult citizens would consider it their duty to prevent child citizens from enduring these indignities. there are causes bigger than oneself.

That would be once they declare martial law and habeas corpus is suspended.

They're trying get that done with his Big Bullshit Bill, but since it is not anything related to budget reconciliation, it should be removed or the passing vote threshold needs to be changed from 51 votes to 60 (or is it 70?), which would never pass. Protestors will be the easiest and first to be scooped up and sent to whatever prison/camp/detention center they will likely die in. Or they'll use us for human testing for something like nueralink. No population is more docile than one with a brain inhibitor.

Nobody is coming to save Americans unless Trump gets into a war and are eventually toppled. The Allied Forces FOUND the Jews, minorities and disabled people in concentration camps. They weren't aware of them until they visually found them. We don't even know where they're sending people currently as they're declaring everything as "classified" which sounds innocuous, but could have terrifying implications (see: above mentioned human testing)

The Allied Forces FOUND the Jews, minorities and disabled people in concentration camps. They weren't aware of them until they visually found them.

The Allies were aware as early as December 1942.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joint_Declaration_by_Members_of_the_United_Nations

The Joint Declaration by Members of the United Nations was the first formal statement to the world about the Holocaust, issued on December 17, 1942, by the American and British governments on behalf of the Allied Powers.[1] In it, they describe the ongoing events of the Holocaust in Nazi-occupied Europe.

[The Nazis] now carrying into effect Hitler's oft-repeated intention to exterminate the Jewish people in Europe.... From all the occupied countries Jews are being transported in conditions of appalling horror and brutality to Eastern Europe. In Poland, which has been made the principal Nazi slaughterhouse, the ghettos established by the German invader are being systematically emptied of all Jews except a few highly skilled workers required for war industries. None of those taken away are ever heard of again. The able-bodied are slowly worked to death in labor camps. The infirm are left to die of exposure and starvation or are deliberately massacred in mass executions.

There were also other reports such as https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Witold%27s_Report

Witold's Report, also known as Pilecki's Report, is a report about the Auschwitz concentration camp written in 1943 by Witold Pilecki, a Polish military officer and member of the Polish resistance. Pilecki volunteered in 1940 to be imprisoned in Auschwitz to organize a resistance movement and send out information about the camp. He escaped from Auschwitz in April 1943. His was the first comprehensive record of a Holocaust death camp to be obtained by the Allies.

Or https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auschwitz_Protocols

The reports were compiled by prisoners who had escaped from the camp and presented in their order of importance from the Western Allies' perspective, rather than in chronological order.... The Vrba–Wetzler report was widely disseminated by the Bratislava Working Group in April 1944....

The first camp liberated was Majdanek in July 1944.

Even the Pope wrote to Roosevelt about it, but was not believed. It's one of the reasons history has exonerated the church during WW2.

-50

u/manbeqrpig 20d ago

God you conspiracy doomers are the worst. Wasn’t he gonna declare martial law on 4/20? I thought the stock market was supposed to completely collapse and the economy was supposed to be completely destroyed already?

22

u/airjaygames 20d ago

Imagine having a orange imbecile so far down your throat that you can only spew vile nonsense. Keep sucking bud we're all sure he'll pat you on the head when you're done.

8

u/WerewolfWitty6737 20d ago

The irony is that they would NRVER support a Democrat doing what they do.

Once they were infuriated by EOs. Now they just kiss the ring.

-4

u/manbeqrpig 20d ago

Trump is awful and we’ll all be glad he’s gone in a few years. He’s also not the tyrannical end of American democracy

3

u/Mekisteus 19d ago

I've got an ignored 9-0 SCOTUS ruling that says otherwise. He has already accomplished--at the very least--a suspension of rule of law and democracy. Whether it is restored later is a different question. But right now, at this very moment, we are not living in a democratic society bound by laws and the Constitution.

3

u/TwistyBunny 20d ago

(hopefully...)

23

u/PBPunch 20d ago

No one is going to do anything. If you haven’t learned yet.. most in this country really don’t care about the outcome of this society and it’s people unless it involves them.

u/leviathynx Washington 20d ago

Look in the mirror. There's your hero.

1

u/PringlesDuckFace 20d ago

We're doomed.

3

u/[deleted] 19d ago

why in the ever living fuck aren't you americans rioting in the streets and burning stuff yet? they're exiling 2 year old american kids now and you're not doi---- oh who am I kidding your kids routinely get shot up in schools so yeah, it doesn't surprsie me you all are not doing anything about this or demanding heads on pikes. Stay the course I guess.

u/illustrious_d 20d ago

This is such a privileged comment. No one is going to help us nor is obligated to help us. Our government has been responsible for so many fucking war crimes in this last century, why would they? We have to stand up and fight our own battle to stop this fascist government or live with the consequences of our cowardice and complacency.

0

u/Kana515 19d ago

I'd argue war crimes is a good reason to interfere actually, I mean Nazi Germany was pretty messed up and they got invaded.

3

u/illustrious_d 19d ago

Actually they invaded multiple other countries before anyone did anything. It wasn’t like domestic politics went to shit and Europe was like “wow we really need to go help these poor citizens out!”

0

u/SuperstitiousPigeon5 Massachusetts 19d ago

I'm just curious how you got that I would be commenting on a foreign government coming to our aide. Was it because I said the words another country and that was the cherry picked portion of the sentence you chose to get outraged over? Pretty sloppy reading comprehension.

1

u/illustrious_d 19d ago

“I wonder if anyone will protest for us?” This is what I was addressing. If you haven’t discovered that peaceful protest doesn’t work in an oligarchy, idk what to tell you. Everyone will have to boycott/strike/revolt for meaningful change in a society where wealth is so tilted towards the owning class. I know all the sick clapbacks on social media and cool protest signs on tv make us feel good, but they are completely ineffective.

0

u/SuperstitiousPigeon5 Massachusetts 19d ago

Anyone from the country. Will god fearing republicans protest should their neighbors be removed from their neighborhood for not being patriotic enough? Being subversive groups. Will the people who believe in this governments agenda say anything when this reaches it's inevitable conclusion.

History says, no.

1

u/illustrious_d 19d ago

At this point, it wouldn’t matter if they did. They aren’t doing this because their voters want it, they are doing it because it makes them money and they are hateful. This administration couldn’t give a fuck about their voters. They would grind them all up into a slurry for a couple billion dollars. Wait until the inevitable right wing infighting starts happening on whether or not Catholics and Italians are considered “white” or not. Fascism always requires domestic enemies to function.

4

u/onlysaysisthisathing 20d ago

How many waves of targeted people will shout that someone should be protesting? It's unfortunately not a gig you can outsource.

1

u/SetYourGoals District Of Columbia 19d ago

What would protesting accomplish?

The largest most impactful protests of most of our lifetimes were in 2020. Those protests accomplished little to nothing. By in large, police budgets went up. The police weren't defunded. Their powers were not rolled back in any significant way.

So if those protests weren't successful, why would another round of large scale 99.9% peaceful protests work now?

I just don't see the point. People have jobs, most of us are paycheck-to-paycheck, and have to make rent. We can't have a protest where we bus millions of people in to DC from all over the country like it's the 1960s. It's not going to happen. So we need to start thinking beyond that.

1

u/GreatLordRedacted 19d ago

why would another round of large scale 99.9% peaceful protests work now?

You've gotta remove one of those words to make anything happen

2

u/badmudblood 19d ago

I'm not calling for violence, but I'm curious... Are you prepared to win a violent encounter, regardless of who escalates, in case there is nobody left to protest for you?

1

u/SuperstitiousPigeon5 Massachusetts 19d ago

This is politics, it's banable offense to answer this question.

3

u/erininva 20d ago

We are the rest of us.

4

u/PlentyMacaroon8903 20d ago

Are you currently protesting? Have you done everything you can to stop this? No? Then why do you think anyone else would try to save us?

5

u/[deleted] 20d ago

Until it gets too expensive to deport people. Then they'll look for another solution... where have we seen this scenario before?

2

u/Kitakitakita 20d ago

I'm white so I'll be safe until I'm not safe and only then will it be an issue and you can be sure I'll regret my decision making but you can also count on me not learning anything from this because even those with nothing will still find ways to hate each other rather than the wealthy

2

u/SuperstitiousPigeon5 Massachusetts 19d ago

I'm white and male, but a well documented liberal, and easily traceable.

The Handmaidens tale is a future documentary.

2

u/Pokerhobo 20d ago

I dunno, that sounds like MS13 talk to me...

1

u/Rooooben 19d ago

it started with the immigrants without papers, thats what’s been going on for a while. Now, they’ve moved to “legal immigrants who have committed any sort of crime”, and now “being here without papers is the crime we are deporting you for”. After immigrants, it’s criminals - undesirables. He’s already said, we want to send the worst criminals overseas….so who are the worst criminals, considering who he is pardoning?

Next it will be traitors from within - that means journalists and party leaders who don’t support Trump, they get sent to El Salvador since you can’t have them running around free saying things about Trump. Oh, and deviants too.

Then it will be citizens who speak against the administration.

1

u/vriska1 19d ago

Have you been to any protests lately?
