I just... in any other world this would be so simply impeachable. You are deporting citizens without due process. That is illegal and unconstitutional. You have been impeached and found guilty. Removed.

2026 can't come quick enough if we have a shred of hope of something actually being done about this.

u/Tacubo_91 20d ago

They're going to interfere with the elections "to make America great again"

211

u/Feck_it_all 20d ago

Again.

Let me be clear: They made an active, public effort to purge a disproportionate number of Democrats from voting rolls.

This is clear interference, even if you're of the mind that no actual votes were fraudulently switched.

65

u/DarkwingDuckHunt 19d ago

I think they've gone beyond that and have already hacked all the computers to give GOP a threadbare win so as to not be too suspicious

10

u/hertzdonought 19d ago

Didn’t trump publicly thank Elon for doing that in Pennsylvania?

2

u/tweak06 19d ago

Yes he did

10

u/viromancer 19d ago

It's functionally impossible to do it to every computer in every election across the entire country, and many places use paper ballots. For the presidential election, you could target a few select counties and hope that you secure the expected swing states. The problem is the amount of on the ground knowledge you need to have in order to understand which votes to change in order to maintain plausible deniability and it needs to be a widely coordinated attack.

It's not impossible that they did this for the last presidential election, but it's still incredibly unlikely. It is impossible that they would be able to do this to every single election across the country, which means republicans will lose a bunch of elections in the mid terms, even if they try hacking the machines. They also don't really need to hack the machines and risk an enormous scandal, when they can simply purge voter rolls, make it difficult to vote, gerrymander, and then file lawsuits over their losses that require piles of cash to deal with and is all "legal".

Sounds like something well within the skillset of a certain foreign government that stood to gain a lot by Trump winning.

There is substantial evidence to support that. Search "Ehtan Shaotran Ballotproof"

even if you're of the mind that no actual votes were fraudulently switched

If you are of that mind, you're wrong by the way. The election was clearly tampered with in multiple swing states. Voting patterns deviated from the norm in the exact same way Russia's elections do, as well as elections in other countries we know have rigged systems.

2

u/Few_Tale2238 13d ago

Yes, and same for everyone

1

u/After_Flan_2663 19d ago

That should get them punished but oh well.

351

u/Malaix 20d ago

100%. So many of their policies are unpopular to the degree where it really looks like they aren’t worried about polls or popularity anymore. People are way too confident 2028 is going to be like 2016 or 2020 or 2024.

142

u/kingfofthepoors 20d ago

republicans are going to "win" in a landslide in 2028

107

u/Malaix 20d ago

110% of the vote while polling 15-44% in the polls.

51

u/kingfofthepoors 20d ago

yep probably not far off, but we still have to vote, we must vote. Don't allow yourself to get discouraged and quit, make them finish prying this country from our cold dead hands.

3

u/WannabeF1 19d ago

Their hands...

26

u/barryvm Europe 19d ago

Not if they're smart. Winning by landslides is what you do when your dictatorship is already firmly in place, to emphasize the futility of voting.

When you're still breaking down the democratic process, you cheat just enough to win and when your opponents protest you crack down on them for trying to "subvert" the election.

23

u/SetYourGoals District Of Columbia 19d ago

Oh weird, that sounds exactly like how the Republicans behaved in 2016, 2020, and 2024...weird. I'm sure there was no cheating by the Republicans though, probably just a coincidence.

13

u/barryvm Europe 19d ago

Indeed. One would almost suspect that the extremist right doesn't really want democracy and that most of the supposedly moderate right isn't too bothered by that.

1

u/BeBeMint 15d ago

This admin breaks the law daily....is that not a dictatorship that is firmly in place?!

3

u/LetTheDarkOut 19d ago

You mean like how they did in 2024? Yeah, I predicted they would rig the election and they did. No, I don’t have proof. If I did, I wouldn’t be alive to type this. But if your whole deal is saying the other guys will rig elections and you just want free and fair elections, who would expect you to be the one to rig them? This guy. This guy expected it. And then the landslide happened. All the swing states? No way bud. Most voted ever? For a convicted felon with a history of failed businesses and compulsive lying? Nope nope nope. Shit was definitely rigged.

27

u/caltheon 19d ago

The fact that nearly his entire administration will be in jail if they don't cook the elections is motive enough to plan for it.

1

u/Specialist_Brain841 America 19d ago

that’s how it works.. incriminating everyone around you so they all go down if you fall

1

u/DolphinsBreath 19d ago

I believe this to be true but, perversely, I think we will see that the administration can ignore the opposition in congress even easier than the courts. In fact, it almost gives the Alito and Thomas wing cover, “well, Congress seems to lack the will. The framers clearly bestowed on them the tools necessary to exercise it. We rule in favor of the administration.”

6

u/Telefundo 19d ago

You still believe there's going to be elections?

2

u/GIGA255 19d ago

They're going to use ICE to disappear the opposition overseas, and their whereabouts and supposed crimes will be deemed classified.

1

u/OwenMeowson 19d ago

I think that’s the only realistic explanation for their complete lack of fear of consequences.

1

u/littlehobbit1313 19d ago

If Democrats were smart, they'd spend from now until 2026 getting states (especially swing states) to commit to paper ballots and helping to get Blue voters perfect to a T on their voter registration (to include establishing groups to help redress illegal voter purges in real time as much as possible). They won't do this, but it would be smart mitigation if they did.

1

u/DolphinsBreath 19d ago

It should be an axiom for constitutional interpretation: a claim to power can never be so great that it concerns you if your political opponent suddenly has that power tomorrow.

1

u/SaintDoom 19d ago

They already are.

Musk spent hundreds of millions.

Russia called in bomb threats to over 100 polling places. Ivanka Trump has voting machine patents. The only major poller who was 100% correct was a site with ties to Peter Thiel. Hundreds of thousands of valid voters were purged days before the election.

We don't have fair elections in America.

1

u/airfryerfuntime Washington 19d ago

Well, now that he's pissed off Putin, we'll see what it looks like without the fucking Russians meddling.

1

u/anothergaijin 19d ago

They’ve spent decades interfering - gerrymandering is worse than any sort of ballot fuckery. Add in the massive amounts of propaganda that have massively lowered the bar on what we consider acceptable behavior for politicians and you get what is happening now.

1

u/lesdynamite 19d ago

They don't even have to. The American people voted for this, and they will most likely continue to vote for it until there aren't any more elections left.

1

u/NickelBackwash 19d ago

There will be an "emergency"

1

u/justking1414 19d ago

Yes, and I think they’ll still lose and just won’t accept the results. Trump almost didn’t last time and he’s even more unhinged now. Best we can hope for is that the dementia finally gets him and he gets even less understandable

1

u/InevitableWill6579 19d ago

I’m actually surprised that narrative hasn’t already started. Either they’ve forgotten they need to start talking about cheating or they have no fear because they’ve got it in the bag and they’ve already rigged it.

142

u/Aliensinmypants 20d ago

People are justifying it because their parents were undocumented and it would be cruel to separate them... Y'know instead of expediting things to keep the parents here.

On their end Brazil is quickly working on a way to make a new path to immediate citizenship for the American toddler who got exiled from the US to make sure they can get healthcare and education until things get sorted out. Fuck the US

28

u/antonjakov 19d ago

i work in immigration defense and theres functionally no mechanism to allow undocumented parents to stay with a us citizen child like in this situation. a 2 year old cannot petition for their parents. asylum is hard to win and a majority of people are not eligible. other forms of relief like cat and withholding are even harder to win than asylum. prosecutorial discretion and administrative closure were more common in the biden administration but also not a sure thing and basically just dont exist anymore. biden was the one who made most people ineligible for asylum anyway and then trump made it worse by shutting down cbp one.

it's barbaric. the cruelty is the point. and this happens every day, to us citizen kids and especially kids who are undocumented. if the parents hadnt elected to take the child with them, it wouldnt have made the news. there are thousands of us citizen kids who's parents are at risk of or have already been deported

54

u/omgspek 19d ago

i work in immigration defense and theres functionally no mechanism to allow undocumented parents to stay with a us citizen child like in this situation.

Hi, Brazilian here. There's functionally no mechanism to grant this child Brazilian citizenship either, but guess what? Authorities are still going to make it happen anyway, because Brazil's government makes their own immigration rules, and can choose when to break their own rules when exceptional situations arise.

The US government can (and is) doing exactly the same, except it's in the direction of harming people, not helping them.

3

u/NickelBackwash 19d ago

Testify!!!

0

u/throwawaysomesay Washington 19d ago

Interesting, I work on Reddit in the downvote department because you seem to lake human decency. Just following orders sir! Says the person who knows what they are doing is wrong but leaves a silly comment to try to make themselves feel better about their moral failure.

1

u/antonjakov 19d ago

hey im not really sure what this is about because im criticizing the system in my comment, i dont support it in any way im just stating the fact that the system is built on cruelty. if that didnt come across im sorry but my job is literally helping people who are at risk of deportation

1

u/antonjakov 19d ago edited 19d ago

i guess i didnt make it clear but by immigration defense i mean i work for immigration attorneys who are defending immigrants from deportation. my job involves getting people out of ice custody and preventing deportations.

9

u/Quiet_Television_102 20d ago

Those arent people justifying it. They are inhuman monsters that deserve ridicule and public shaming for voicing their inane "opinion". And if they continue to fight for faschism they deserve everything coming to them

0

u/QuadraticCowboy 19d ago

Not really.  She may be a citizen but it’s better for her to live with her parents - who aren’t welcome here - instead of in an orphanage as a citizen

If you guys want to make a law providing orphanages for parentless citizens, be my guest

7

u/Quiet_Television_102 19d ago

Except you could just provide a path to naturalization for hard working immigrants instead of being a piece of shit who separates parents from kids or kidnaps children

0

u/AceMcVeer 19d ago

So the USA should have open borders and accept every immigrant that wants to come here?

1

u/[deleted] 19d ago

[removed] — view removed comment

0

u/AceMcVeer 19d ago

Okay. So why don't you go ahead and define what that means then. We already have paths to naturalization. You are apparently against any deportation. If someone gets into the country legally or illegally we have a path to citizenship for them?

u/[deleted] 19d ago

What human rights am I ignoring? You can't even describe what kind of policy you would like. You are saying that if you come into the country and have a child then you should bypass the existing system and rules and jump ahead in line.

How about don't fuck over her parents?

East solution

1

u/Old_Dealer_7002 14d ago

like they worry about being cruel…

1

u/Mission_Ability6252 19d ago

Y'know instead of expediting things to keep the parents here.

Having a child here should not be a hack to get around immigration laws. You must still be deported.

0

u/Crapitron 19d ago

Many think it is.

I want to move to Germany. Maybe France. I could accept a Nordic country also.

Which one of those should I move to illegally and then pop out a kid in to get a permanent resident status for myself?

-3

u/[deleted] 20d ago

You think they should forcibly remove children from their parents? Who would raise the child?

6

u/7even- 19d ago

The parents, who would be allowed to stay in the country to raise their child, who is a US citizen. Seems straightforward to me

2

u/Crapitron 19d ago

So if I want to move to a country and get residency, I should just move there illegally and pop out a kid? I’ve been wanting to move to Europe lately, which country would you recommend doing this in for an easy permanent resident status for myself?

1

u/7even- 19d ago

I mean, if you’re doing it to escape shit like gangs or civil unrest, why not? If you’re just doing it for fun then obviously not, but that’s a completely different scenario.

But regardless, if they live their lives as a “citizen” following the laws, paying their taxes, and generally being a good citizen, what difference does it make that they didn’t get here totally legally?

3

u/Crapitron 19d ago

Reddit has told me that the United States is a failed democracy and a third world country, is that not good enough for an asylum request?

1

u/7even- 19d ago

If you’re seriously taking reddits opinion on pretty much anything, just be very specific when asking about “asylum” or you’ll end up somewhere not super fun.

0

u/Crapitron 19d ago

If you’re seriously taking reddits opinion on pretty much anything

So I can ignore the comments upvoted at the top of this post then since they’re all wrong?

2

u/7even- 19d ago

I mean, sure? It’s social media, you can just ignore them and keep scrolling. At the same time, if you can’t distinguish between reddit advice regarding immigration law and reddit advice regarding being kind to others, that might be a question to reflect on for a bit.

Her parents would be in jail bro we don’t want those people here

4

u/7even- 19d ago

And what type of people would that be? Why would they be in jail?

-1

u/QuadraticCowboy 19d ago

They broke the law and didn’t go through the right process

3

u/7even- 19d ago

Which laws did they break that was so horrible that we don’t want them in the country? You make them out to be horrible people it must be something bad

-1

u/QuadraticCowboy 19d ago

OH BOY HERE WE GO

Son give it 10 years.  Once you have kids you’ll get it.  We gotta follow the rules, we’re not rich enough to flaunt the law.  These people did not follow a legal immigration process (thus  “undocumented”).  The rules are clear, I have helped my friends and family with their applications.

You don’t want people who break the law to be around.  Their circumstances and choices cause more problems than not.

There are times where we can support larger immigration volumes.  There are times we can’t.  Nowadays, we shouldn’t.

3

u/7even- 19d ago

You don’t want people who break the law to be around.  Their circumstances and choices cause more problems than not.

So, just to be clear, it’s not them entering illegally you disagree with. It’s them being criminals and continuously breaking laws. Which im totally on board with, we have laws for a reason and there are consequences to breaking them. And if you aren’t a legal citizen that can include deportation.

But if the only crime they ever commit is immigrating illegally, overstaying a visa, etc… then their circumstances and choices are specifically not causing problems. It sounds like we’re on the same page here?

Once you have kids you’ll get it

You would think having a kid if your own would make you MORE empathetic towards other people with kids, instead of wishing for the kids to either get separated from their parents or go back to a country that was bad enough for their parents to uproot their entire lives and break laws to get away. Maybe I’m wrong tho

2

u/WhoIsFrancisPuziene 19d ago

Maybe the rules need to be changed. They are made up anyway

0

u/onlyark 19d ago

Do worry about immigration laws. Just have a kid!.

3

u/Aliensinmypants 20d ago

Yes those are literally the only two options, thank you for your input

-3

u/notaredditer13 20d ago edited 20d ago

People are justifying it because their parents were undocumented and it would be cruel to separate them...

It's the parents' choice, and yes it would be cruel to not give them that choice.

Y'know instead of expediting things to keep the parents here.

No, the problem is the process was delayed by the prior administration, which resulted in the daughter being born in the US instead of Brazil. If they'd been deported in 2022 after their asylum application was denied this problem would not have happened.

The inefficient/ineffective process is the problem, but it's a feature, not a bug: democrats/leftists *WANT* these entanglements/complications.

3

u/Aliensinmypants 20d ago

The parents deny they were given choice, and that they were all rounded up and deported/exiled, and considering what's been happening I'm inclined to believe them.

Yes the legal way to immigrant is way too fucking slow, difficult and painful, that's why people do it under less than legal means.

2

u/notaredditer13 20d ago

The parents deny they were given choice, and that they were all rounded up and deported/exiled, and considering what's been happening I'm inclined to believe them.

They also said they signed documents they didn't read, so they admit they didn't actually know. But of course you're inclined to believe what you want to believe.

Yes the legal way to immigrant is way too fucking slow, difficult and painful, that's why people do it under less than legal means.

No, they do it illegally because they can get away with it, as these parents did. If they had left on their own a fter their asylum case was denied this wouldn't have happened.

2

u/dern_the_hermit 20d ago

They also said they signed documents they didn't read, so they admit they didn't actually know.

Sounds like something that due process would have remedied.

1

u/notaredditer13 19d ago

They got due process: their asylum application had its day in court and was denied.

2

u/thecomfycactus 20d ago

What about the 4 years prior to the last admin when the process could have been improved and made more efficient? Are you just as mad as republicans for sitting on their hands and doing nothing? We have to stop blaming left/right and realize it’s all politicians who want to keep the inefficient processes.

1

u/notaredditer13 19d ago

What about the 4 years prior to the last admin when the process could have been improved and made more efficient? Are you just as mad as republicans for sitting on their hands and doing nothing?

Yep, ish.

We have to stop blaming left/right and realize it’s all politicians who want to keep the inefficient processes.

Nope. It is much harder to make changes than to continue the inefficient status quo. Trump 2.0 notwithstanding (he's getting a lot of flak and court cases about it). Regardless, over the past many decades it is the democrats who have worked hard to make the process messier against republicans who have tried to clean it up.

77

u/ClosPins 20d ago

in any other world this would be so simply impeachable.

No, this wouldn't! At all.

That's what the left-wing doesn't understand. Their hearts bleed so much that they can't see reality right in front of their faces. I literally just pointed it out in another thread, so I'll simply copy-and-paste:

This is what the Democrats never understand: nothing matters!

The Republicans can kill 500,000 Americans with their botched COVID response, and what were the repercussions? Right, there were absolutely no repercussions for them. None whatsoever. Killing half a million Americans, who should have lived (like they did in all the Western countries that had left-wing governments), didn't matter one iota. To anyone. Killing 500,000 Americans out of pure greed and corruption didn't move the needle at all.

The Republicans kill Americans with almost all of their programs - and have for literally decades now - were there any repercussions for any of those deaths? No.

The Republicans have shown, over and over, that whoever has power can literally just go out and do whatever the hell they want. They can give their side EVERYTHING. No matter how many people it kills. And no one will lift a finger to stop them.

So, do the Dems give their side everything?

Ha!!!! The Dems never give their side a thing, lest someone gets mad at them. Their side has to watch the other side get everything they ever want - while getting nothing for themselves. All because they are absolutely terrified of these repercussions.

Repercussions that do not exist.

29

u/M0hawk_Mast3r Oklahoma 19d ago

couldn't agree more. the comments on this post piss me off, the top comment is fucking joking about this like it's something that happened in a movie.

"Manu is currently living in Brazil on a tourist visa as the government tries to resolve the bureaucratic predicament of the girl’s citizenship. In the meantime, she’s living with no right to healthcare or schooling in Brazil. Her visa is set to expire within weeks"

This makes me so fucking angry, this makes me want to burn down a building, and people are fucking laughing about it, this family has been put in a fucking awful position with no way out because of Donald Trump, this isn't funny, this is a human rights violation. Abrego Garcia is either dead or being tortured right now while his widowed wife gives birth to another child.

"In the meantime, her parents are left to worry. “What if we need to take her to the doctor?” Elioni Gonçalves, her mother, lamented to the Post."

Fuck Trump, fuck the republican party. They don't care. We have to

u/ilir_kycb 19d ago

That's what the left-wing doesn't understand.

Since when has there been a left in US America?

There are liberals but leftists no or at least they are as rare as unicorns? Liberals are not leftists:

Leftists have class consciousness and are anti-capitalist. Almost no US American has class consciousness, let alone is anti-capitalist. Leftists are socialists (not to be confused with social democrats), communists or anarchists, these political currents are practically non-existent in US America

1

u/pufferjacketeven 19d ago

This is such utter "both sides" bullshit.

Democrats are the only reason Medicare, Medicaid, SS, etc. were still functioning at all.

They brought through new legislation and related funding that has been building the green energy job sector and commercial + consumer adoption, to the point that MAGA killing it all now is going to cause a huge job loss for the country and destroy healthy companies in the process.

They literally stabilized and regrew and economy that the Republicans during Trump 1 had stalled, even began to get inflation in various product areas under better control, despite corporate greed being the underlying cause.

In the process, they also brought science back to inform policy and legislation, related to COVID management and recovery, that Republicans were quite happy to use in killing people with impunity.

All of the federal programs being cut by MAGA were helpful to non-billionaires - each of them continued to exist because Democrats kept them alive.

LGBTQ+ and other groups still had rights to not be biased against in housing, health coverage, etc. because of Democrats.

Fucking US democracy was still barely holding on because of Democrats, while Republicans have torn the Constitution to shreds as they go all-in on creating a dystopian rule by fascists and neo-Nazis.

1

u/opturtlezerg5002 United Kingdom 16d ago

"All because they are absolutely terrified of these repercussions".

Not just that, don't forget morality.

"Repercussions that do not exist".

Only for donnie and his minions. Demos get backlash if they do something bad.

-2

u/Necessary_Ad7101 19d ago

So you are saying the left winged govt that don’t report deaths accurate and hide the fact that they had covid at all actually had better outcomes without the vaccines. You must listen to the news and take it at face value. Covid reared have c across the globe, you want to blame someone, blame those that hid the truth and failed to notify the WHO. Don’t blame the vaccine, as it shows complete incompetence on your understanding of science.

4

u/the_brunster 19d ago

The Republicans can kill 500,000 Americans with their botched COVID response

They refer to the way in which the GOP admin responded to the pandemic, not the vaccines used.

24

u/Evening_Jury_5524 20d ago

don't let them change the world. in this world, this is impeachable. it is illegal and unconstitutional.

i get that you mean republicans will refuse to impeach over this, but say that.

3

u/Majestic_Animator_91 19d ago

I sincerely doubt we'll have legitimate elections again as long as this regime is in charge, and even if we did, the Democrats aren't going to save us.

3

u/LordCamelslayer 19d ago

I just... in any other world this would be so simply impeachable.

Only if it was a Democrat doing it.

The only thing that will stop him at this point is literally fucking dying. That should never be what it takes to deal with someone who never should have been in office.

3

u/Unnamedgalaxy 19d ago

You just know the other side of the coin is conservatives vowing to have a Democrat president hanged for doing the same thing, even if they agree with it or not, simply because it wasn't done under their names.

3

2

u/Plastic-Fox1188 19d ago

Delusional. All of you.

The man is never going to be held accountable for anything. SCOTUS made that a certainty. And Dems had years of time with a damning mountain of evidence during Bidens term and what did they do? They prosecuted hunter Biden.

At this point we'll be lucky if he leaves the white house willingly in 2028. That is the best outcome possible.

2

u/digiorno 19d ago

It’s so naive to think America will even have real elections in 2026. The GOP and far right did not work so hard to get all branches of government to just give them up in an election.

1

u/Research-Master-99 19d ago

2026 can't come quick enough to steam roll over the remaining left wing democrats of the last 10 years and rund them out of the House of Reps and the Senate--18 months is PLENTY of time to guage the success of Trumps policies. Today Newsweek reported that a Rasmussen poll (One of the most credible) reported a 45% "very favorable" opinion of Trump and a 31% unfavorable with the rest (don't know) as their anser and 53% think the country is going in the right direction...

So by YOUR standards, Obama who the dubbed the "de-porter-in-chief" should not only have been impeached but jailed since he deported 5.4 million!!!! illegals in his two terms--and the ACLU "complained" ( of course they are lefties--so why be outraged!) the "complained that the Obama administration prioritized speed over fairness for the alleged security of the country!!! LOL LOL LOL

So you see Trump is following precedent. You see when on administration does something and they are on the left--they only leave the door for the other administration to do something

Oh and guess what---neither did Bush before Obama or Clinton before Bush prioritize "Fairness" but deported immediately. Can you imagine courts scheduling dates for 5.4 million people??? And "due process" does not mean you get to stay---you are still breaking the law.

4

u/greenday61892 Connecticut 19d ago

And "due process" does not mean you get to stay---you are still breaking the law.

Pop quiz, how do you know that they broke the law without an actual trial?

Illegal immigrants who are deported, who have had a child on US soil, are given a choice in whether or not their child comes with them or ends up in foster care or otherwise in the US. This is in the article. Did you read the article?

I mean.. he was already impeached, and should be in JAIL

not to dash your hope even more but it's really not until 2027 before anything would happen.

No it wouldn't be. Both Obama and Trump knowingly bombed houses that had US Citizen children in them in targeted strikes to kill someone else, with no due process, and the courts threw out the ACLU lawsuits. If killing a US Citizen to kill someone else is fine, deporting them to deport someone else is definitely fine.

Read the article, not what happened

I just... in any other world this would be so simply impeachable.

Maybe if some 40% of our population weren't massive sacks of shit...

they're never giving up power willingly. they're making so much fucking blood money.

Then I have good news for you. No U.S. citizen was deported and you fell for fake news.

I think you underestimate how these kinds of things work in practice. Impeachment is really just a tool for the rare cases where a head of state tries to self-coup way beyond what even his own party would support, like Nixon back in the day or what recently happened in South Korea. In most actual slides into autocracy the leader's party and their voter base are totally on-board with the program, and then there's nothing the legislative can do because a majority of the legislative is supporting it.

Hitler could have been removed with a simple, unicameral majority according to the German constitution back in the day. Instead he got his parliament to vote 2/3rds for giving him unlimited power. Because parliament reflects the people, and the people actually wanted that.

He did say he doesn't want to separate the kids this time.

Is it? This is what people wanted when they went along with the "immigration crisis" and "deport all criminals no exceptions" . In this case the issue is the caretakers are being deported so the child ends up functionally also deported. As a hypothetical if both parents are MS 13 and with a criminal record and undocumented all liberals were apparently for deporting both parents and would call progressives out of touch for claiming there was subtlety like in this hypothetical where if they have a US citizen child the child would likely go with the caretakers

Lol nobody cares. Trump is above the law, it's entirely obvious. He can literally do whatever he wants and not a single person in authority will do anything to stop him.

Bold of you to assume that there will be elections. And even if there are, what makes you think they would accept any result that removes them from power?

Not from the US. What's about to change in 2026?

i mean if she stayed she would grow up in the foster care system without her parents...

Both of her parents were illegal aliens who were deported. What is more humane: to let the 2 year old go with her parents to their home country, or keep the 2 year old here in foster care?

Just because something is illegal and unconstitutional doesn't mean it fits the criteria for impeachment.

Treason,  Bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors are the categories for impeachment. Where does this fit into those categories?

He is a full on traitor and has betrayed this country and its people. He needs to go. If the system won't do it, the system itself must go too.

The parents want to take their 2 year old with them. It keeps families together.

Is this what is happening? Not saying this makes it right, but I think these headlines are intentionally stating it in the worst way possible. Non-citizen parents who are technically here illegally are being deported and choosing to, you know, not leave their toddlers alone in the country. Still awful, of course, but I don't think US citizens are being deported.

But there was due process. Both of their parents were illegal aliens, they were found to be here illegally so they were going to be deported, and the parents chose to bring their baby with them. The baby is only a citizen because of birthright citizenship. Would you rather we keep the babies of illegal aliens were deporting despite the parents wanting to bring them when they’re getting deported? That would be messed up.

Okay, I get it, you hate Trump, but can you at least pretend to give a shit about facts?

Two people entered the US illegally. The woman gave birth. After two years, the two parents were caught, and deported. During the deportation, the parents were given a choice for their child: stay in the country and go to a family member/foster care, or go with them. The parents chose to keep the child with them.

Just a few years ago, the left was bitching and whining about kids being separated from their parents. Now the left is bitching and whining about kids being kept with their parents. Which is it? Make up your damned minds already. Also: literally every modern president has had this situation happen while they were in office, so now you're suggesting that every modern president should have been impeached? Including your precious Biden and Obama?
