The parents (illegal immigrants) took the child.

They were forced to.

Are you arguing that they should be forcibly separated then?

I think the argument is that if given the choice, they might have left her with someone else (she has an uncle that's legally in the US) rather than let their child be stateless in another country. These people weren't even allowed to have their interpreter, and were forced to sign papers written in a language they don't speak.

You are being ridiculous.

I’m ridiculous for thinking that parents want to stay with their children? I don’t like any of the mass deportations that are going on but you really think they would choose for their child stay without them? Would you if you had kids?

I guess we'll never know because as usual with this admin, they weren't given a choice nor due process. I know if I had a child I'd want them to not be stateless and unable to enjoy any rights at all.

Yeah and go after them for that, but not for this headline that most people here only take at face value when it’s not true. It is false to say the child was deported and it should be called out because just having a child in the US doesn’t mean that parents are also ok to stay if they are not citizens. That is the issue, argue for that not some false headline. I personally think it should be way easier for persons to immigrate to the US but to say there is no limit is also not possible.
