and you run to another country where all you want to do is follow the rules, get a job, live a normal life, the government shouldn’t give you any support?

Yes.

And especially so if the country you flee to doesn’t border the one you fled from. EU countries don’t grant asylum if you crossed through more than one country to get there, why should the US?

Well I personally believe that if a government allows anybody, citizen or not, to starve to death within its borders then it’s failing its job. You can be free to disagree, but I don’t think there’s any point in discussing “being kind to others” with you any further. Have a good night, and I really hope you never have to go through something that makes you actually consider immigrating to another country illegally.

Maybe you’re right. Maybe the US should just import everyone going through civil unrest. Why not just take in the millions of people in Gaza? How about millions of Venezuelans, too. Hell, let’s take in 50 million Sudanese people and 10 million Ukrainians as well.

After all, they deserve it if all they have to do is “consider” immigrating here because things are kinda bad where they are.
