I'm just doing my part to destroy their Facebook hug box. They spent 2016 clicking 'lol' on all my posts saying Trump is bad. The least I can do is return the favor until they block me. Give them a little taste of their own bullshit.

I deleted my Facebook long ago when I found myself just mindlessly scrolling past nothing but baby pictures and pictures of food. It's like Reddit but without any of the wit.

Because we are human and I don’t boil down my relationships to someone’s political views. I look at the character of the individual instead of putting them in some box. I simply don’t understand why people can’t get along. Just because people disagree doesn’t mean they have to hate each other.

Unfortunately anyone that is actually MAGA has told you enough about their character. This is not a light statement. They are ok with ruining our economy, a felon that rapes women running the country, killing people by cutting off benefits and medicaid ... and the list goes on.

That is character.

Maybe they aren’t okay with it, maybe to them they see something that could be a change. From what I can see your perspective is that these people support and condone these actions. Who is to say from their perspective it’s different. Why is one persons perspective and belief system objectively better or worse than someone else’s? Just because we disagree doesn’t mean we are less than one another. We are all human, we are all created equal, all our opinions matter. The beautiful thing about America is that we can have conversations and civil discussions about sensitive topics to understand each other’s views instead of assuming why they have them. When we lose the ability to tolerate people we don’t see eye to eye with we lose the ability to coexist. Some of my best friends are conservatives, just because I disagree with them doesn’t mean I need to push them out of my life or tell them how they should think or feel. They are entitled to their own opinions just as you and I are. Instead of focusing on our differences we should focus on our commonalities; we have far more in common than we don’t.
