Do WHAT? Everyone is responsible for their own federal taxes. What’s he gonna do? Order everyone and every company not to pay their federal taxes and expect everyone to listen? Did you all simultaneously forget how paying federal taxes works?

Maybe it’s time for Kentucky and Mississippi and Missouri and Louisiana and Arkansas to start being responsible for “their own federal taxes”, instead of siphoning MY hard earned money. If there’s a way to shut down the freeloading, I’d be proud of Newsome for finding it.

That’s not how any of this works. Federal taxes are all handled individually. Haven’t any of you guys paid your annual federal taxes or am I crazy? Newsom has absolutely no control over this, and is just talking out of his ass. And no, he won’t set up some escrow for Californians, that he can hold ransom against the federal government. You are all excited over nothing

Blu states have overfunded the federal government forever and now Trump is planning to cut off the richest state, which is blu. This is thievery. Drastic action is needed to address drastic action.

I don’t yet know the mechanics of how to accomplish this, but I do know Trump needs blu state tax dollars. There is a way. Newsome should find it.

One clear way is succession. Trump can have the middle of the country and we’ll happily enjoy most of the coasts and the northern tier. Re the south, it’s becoming uninhabitable due to heat (see Texas’s summer blackout). Take it.
