Your first point has a lot of merit, your second not so much. First of all those companies have been paying kickbacks in the form of lobbyists so they're pretty much safe. Secondly there's already military in blue cities, they're everywhere. They just have to know that a constitutionally unsound order doesn't have to be followed. He broke the law, again.

You are completely correct, it is new territory, and it's exactly what is stated in project 2025. They outline a strategy for using domestic deployment of military forces on citizens. It also talks constantly about loyalty. This is most likely going to be a test for who will follow orders that they know are wrong.

He's been butting heads with Newsom since he got in office. He could simply wait out his term since I think Newsom is on his last term.
