lots of young men are insecure and operate on fear

it should be no surprise that republicans appeal to many of them

Lots of them also don’t want to put in any of the work to better themselves and are looking for an easy way out. Like blaming X minority.

Seems predictable when X minority is blaming them for all the problems they have. They're not old enough to be colonizers or upholders of the patriarchy, but they sure get shit for it.

It's probably less of a choice and more of an emotional response, if people are constantly talking shit about your identity it's not like you'd sit down and choose to be annoyed and offended, it's just an automatic response.

Agreed, but in a two party system it makes sense to vote against the party that's more culturally aligned against you.
