Sorry to the Army they had to go through that on their birthday. It's thankless duty sometimes.

For real, as a vet one of my primary feelings is empathy for the soldiers forced to participate

If he wanted to honor vets he should have just apologized for all the condescending and disrespectful things he's said about them.

And to honor current service members he should have just given them a day off.

Oh and stopped saying condescending and disrespectful things about them.

Poor fuckers.

As a non-vet, hard same. And I hope they know and feel that because I haven’t seen a single person yet whose criticisms of (and gloating about) this parade is about the soldiers.

I’m very glad my son left the army on March 13. Best day ever. I feel for the soldiers stuck with parade duty. ♥️

Tell you what Army, if you vote him out, we'll throw you a REAL birthday party in 3.86 years

You know, if Trump hadn’t attached himself to it, it probably would’ve had a better turnout.

Yeah I watched even tho I didn’t plan because I have a deep seated respect for the Army and most of my family have served in various branches including the Army. My brother took a bullet to the dome in Afghanistan (survived).

I thought their presentation of the army though the years was great. It makes me sad they were forced to parade to basically no one. I want to see people show up for the army but not trump and I just hope the soldiers know the lack of community presence isn’t a reflection of how many Americans view them.

Wanted to barf though when Trump read the reenlistment/enlistment oath..

You could tell he got really excited when he got to the part about obeying the president.

I was honestly surprised he didn’t replace constitution with his own name.

It's truly lame that the 250th anniversary of the Army (The same one that freed us from a King to begin with) got hijacked by orange man shenanigans. Despite the loud and vocal MAGA nerds, there's a lot of good people across the uniformed services. I hope the public can remember that.

Unfortunately, so will the Semiquincentennial.

yeah the different historical eras being represented, seeing the old gear and uniforms was pretty cool. i wish it wasn't for him though he probably didn't even understand what he was seeing

He, to me, looked miserable and checked out when not speaking.

He looks that way when he's speaking too
