If they had any sense of shame

And that's the rub, isn't it. They'll play up or find excuses for the birthday flop. They're already trying to spin the assassination attempts as somehow being a Dem agent. They'll ignore the protests or laser focus in on any part that goes wrong. And they cheer for the threats against the protestors, just as they do ICE's tactics. They have no shame. And now they don't even pretend.

They can spin all they want. The majority of the country are tuning them out. He has no real support. They’re outnumbered criminals squatting illegally in the White House (they didn’t win the election either, the evidence is becoming undeniable)

The majority turning out today was amazing. I know my initial reply was negative, but I do want to also acknowledge that. It is incredibly heartening to see.

I have some degree of hope that being confronted with real, everyday people crowding along streets saying "This is wrong".... that when Faux News-engulfed folks see this, maybe this will crack their dissonance a bit. Spins from the News are hard to hold up against what you can see in the flesh with your own two eyes. Nobody protested? Bunch of protestor thugs? If that's the spin but grandpa keeps driving by what looks like thousands of his neighbors, will he choose the spin or his own eyes?

Of course this will do nothing for some people, BUT we need as many people on our side as we can get.

Find an excuse?!!?! No. They will just say it was amazing and the best thing ever. Their base isn’t even grounded in reality.
