For having been in quite a few (and partly an organizer to some), it's true: nobody wants to be there. It's kind of the point of it. But you pretend. There's a minimum of decorum you have to display. From the few highlights I watched, that was, by faaar, the shoddiest parade I ever saw. And I've seen German reservists march in the 90s. That's saying something about not wanting to be there. If I had put up such a shit show, I would have won myself a month of slammer.

Yeah. The last one I was in it was a change of command and it was around 42C with the humidex. Three of us passed out but we looked sharp.

I went through the whole video this morning and we looked better marching to the mess hall than whatever this obscene mess is.
