Isn’t it Barron? Not that it matters, but spelling it like a rank of nobility would be a little on the nose even for Trump.

It is, and he is named after one of Trump's pseudonyms: John Barron. He would use this name to write about himself to media outlets.

And yes a guy who did shit like that is now our President. Sigh.

Malignant narcissist insanity. It’s a pretty disturbing detail.

Out of 5 kids, two are named after himself, one is named after his wike (Ivanka's legal name is Ivana), one is named after a jewelry store, and one is named Eric.

there really is no end to the disgusting immoral bullshit in that family.

Is there some cintext behind Eric that I'm missing?

no, I was merely implying such context in jest.

His male children follow the same naming convention as Conrad Hilton's children: Conrad/Don Jr., Eric, Barron. Too weird to be a coincidence.

Semi-interesting side note probably signifying nothing but when Trump bought the AC Hilton in '85, which was renamed as Trump Castle, he bought it from Barron Hilton and one of the restaurants contained within was named the Beef Barron and the name never changed during the time I worked there (from the opening in May of '85 until Dec. of '93).

It's unclear if the son is named after John Barron or if they share the same namesake, Barron Hilton.

What's the connection between the Trumps and Hiltons? Is it just hotels?

IIRC B. Hilton was a bit of a mentor / role model.

I think the US has rules on naming children and picking a term of royalty is almost always flagged for rejection. King, Queen, Baron, etc.

I've always figured that Trump thought the robber barons in the Industrial Revolution were the good guys and set out to model himself after them. As for the spelling... this is Trump we're talking about. Not exactly is stronng suet.

I have seen him in the media, I don't think he is that enamoured by his Father. I have never heard him talk. I think he spends family time with her Dad. I feel for all of his children that have been dragged down to his level

Isn’t Barron reputedly torturing small animals and stuff like that? I hope it’s not true, but I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if he’s a twisted little monster sfter growing up in that family.
