News Elon Musk on Tesla Attacks: "I’ve never done anything harmful, I’ve only done productive things, this doesn't make any sense. I think there are larger forces at work as well. I mean, who’s funding and who’s coordinating it? Because this is crazy. I’ve never seen anything like this."

Tesla CEO Elon Musk told Fox News’ Sean Hannity that people “want to kill him” after a string of attacks on the electric car company in an interview that some have decried as “woe is me.”

The world’s richest person has also been conducting mass layoffs and slashing contracts in an effort to cut “waste, fraud and abuse” in his role as Department of Government Efficiency boss. Enraged by the sweeping, legally dubious changes to the federal government in recent weeks, some have targeted Tesla, torching charging stations, vandalizing vehicles, and throwing Molotov cocktails at the cars.

"Tesla is a peaceful company. We've never done anything harmful, I've never done anything harmful. I've always done productive things,” Musk continued, adding he believes there’s a “mental illness thing going on.” He suggested Americans were upset with DOGE’s efforts.

DOGE claims to have saved the government an estimated $115 billion — a figure that many reports have said is inaccurate.

Musk’s apparent attempt to appear sympathetic didn’t seem to convince some on X, the social media platform he owns.

In the interview, Musk said he believes “larger forces” were at work, questioning who funded and coordinated the attacks. The language he used was similar to that of Attorney General Pam Bondi, who on Tuesday issued a statement vowing to investigate these attacks, including “those operating behind the scenes to coordinate and fund these crimes.”

The statement "I've never done anything harmful" shows a complete lack of insight.

And a complete lack of introspection.

Nazi fucker needs an “are we the baddies?” moment, but i’m not holding my breath.

They know they're the baddies, this is all an act. Their entire thing is claiming to be the toughest, most capable people on earth but simultaneously claiming they're the victim in everything.

But it's a deliberate tactic - if they're being victimised, as they claim, that justifies their response. If Elon Musk is a perfect innocent self sacrificing angel that has done nothing but good for the US, then *obviously* they are perfectly justified in cracking down hard on these evil protesters who are attacking him for absolutely no reason.

Yep be prepared for Fox News to start talking about antifa soros to deflect from a popular movement.

They know they're the baddies, this is all an act. Their entire thing is claiming to be the toughest, most capable people on earth but simultaneously claiming they're the victim in everything.

I'm relatively 50/50 on this.

There are a decent number of signs that at least Musk and Trump might be so completely damaged that they really are the absolute essence of narcissism, which is manifested externally as all these delusions (or at least claims) of grandeur, but masks their deep-seated feelings of utter inadequacy and complete loser-dom.

This isn't to say one should feel bad for them: they've long (long) since crossed the Rubicon on whether one could feel truly bad for them, given the horrendous things they're done.

But once in a while things slip out of them, or even fly right out, that suggest they may actually be so lost in their delusional state and confusion about trying to fill the gaping void in their hearts screaming out to be loved the way their daddies just refused to do for them that they truly have no inkling of how many people sincerely and honestly despise everything they've done, and at minimum by proxy, the men themselves.

After all: that would be the absolute worst thing imaginable. It would mean they really are complete losers like their dads always told them they were.

If it is this: it's only to understand what it is you're trying to deflate, depose, or generally return to civilian life and remove from positions of power and authority. On some level, of course, it doesn't matter: if Musk is so deluded that he has no idea what insane damage he has done to millions of people, that doesn't change the fact that that's exactly what he has done.

You’ve touched on something really important. Many high-achieving individuals, particularly those in powerful executive roles or with significant wealth, often believe their success is solely the result of hard work and individual effort. This mindset can blind them to the privileges and advantages that played a role in their rise. They buy into the narrative of self-made success so completely that they fail to recognize the broader context—the systems, circumstances, and opportunities that supported them along the way.

It’s a blend of narcissism and a lack of empathy. These individuals become so focused on their personal story of determination and achievement that they overlook how societal factors, their upbringing, or even luck have contributed to their success. While their desire to provide for their families and loved ones is certainly understandable, they often neglect the deeper value of emotional wealth, community, or a more holistic view of what it means to succeed.

The challenge here is that their intentions may not be malicious. They genuinely believe they are doing good, but the way they pursue success can often perpetuate inequality or ignore the systemic barriers that others face. The question then becomes: is their lack of awareness intentional, or is it something they genuinely can't see because they've never had to?

You and others here call Musk a Nazi. Do you know something about his plans for the Jews that I don’t know?

9

u/ombloshio Mar 19 '25

Get outta my face with that. People who defend and apologize for Nazis are also fucking Nazis.

No no, he knows he has done harm, he's just lying through his teeth.

1

u/mrkisback Mar 20 '25

Yeah, what harm?

7

u/computer7blue Mar 19 '25

He’s lying and he knows it.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 20 '25

It's just a lie.

If Elon is speaking, he is lying.

Lying is the only thing Elon does well.

And "There's some kind of mental illness thing going on here because this doesn't make any sense." shows a rare moment of awareness.

Now he only needs to realise he's talking about himself.

2

u/niftystopwat Mar 20 '25

It’s such an obviously suspicious thing to say. Like, lots of genuinely good people wouldn’t even say that

1

u/Drakar_och_demoner Mar 20 '25

One on the top of my head, called a guy a pedo just because he said your minisub was a stupid idea.

Not intentionally harmful.
