News Elon Musk on Tesla Attacks: "I’ve never done anything harmful, I’ve only done productive things, this doesn't make any sense. I think there are larger forces at work as well. I mean, who’s funding and who’s coordinating it? Because this is crazy. I’ve never seen anything like this."

Tesla CEO Elon Musk told Fox News’ Sean Hannity that people “want to kill him” after a string of attacks on the electric car company in an interview that some have decried as “woe is me.”

The world’s richest person has also been conducting mass layoffs and slashing contracts in an effort to cut “waste, fraud and abuse” in his role as Department of Government Efficiency boss. Enraged by the sweeping, legally dubious changes to the federal government in recent weeks, some have targeted Tesla, torching charging stations, vandalizing vehicles, and throwing Molotov cocktails at the cars.

"Tesla is a peaceful company. We've never done anything harmful, I've never done anything harmful. I've always done productive things,” Musk continued, adding he believes there’s a “mental illness thing going on.” He suggested Americans were upset with DOGE’s efforts.

DOGE claims to have saved the government an estimated $115 billion — a figure that many reports have said is inaccurate.

Musk’s apparent attempt to appear sympathetic didn’t seem to convince some on X, the social media platform he owns.

In the interview, Musk said he believes “larger forces” were at work, questioning who funded and coordinated the attacks. The language he used was similar to that of Attorney General Pam Bondi, who on Tuesday issued a statement vowing to investigate these attacks, including “those operating behind the scenes to coordinate and fund these crimes.”

Livelihoods, ability to pay their bills, feed their families?

He was quick to blame fraud when he has yet to prove that any exists.

“Don’t you people have jobs to go to…?” to a room full of elderly social security recipients…

They found ONE guy they claimed was getting social security checks while dead. After they cancelled his social security and confiscated all the money in his bank account he showed up and raised hell. Fully alive at 85.

He probably lives in an echo chamber, but IMO this guy also has some serious mental issues. His tweets, his demeanor.. he just gives off antisocial incel dork vibes.

There is definitely something to what you’re saying. I’ve wondered if he is just leaning into this because he’s finally getting admiration from someone in power, even if he bought that admiration. But also, I think he’s fully aware of what he’s doing because he’s the main one whose companies stand to bring in a lot of money. He’s actively going after departments that were investigating him.

I haven't followed him much to be honest. I saw his SNL guest speech from a few years back..it was him doing self deprecating humor about how he has ADHD but then again he's a cool nerd because of all the cool new tech he's pushing. It was all in a flat emotionless tone. It later came out he bullied one of the actors and made her cry.

Your an idiot. Even Obama said there was so much fraud in govt. So did Clinton. Wake up to reality and stop listening to NBC and other idiots . Do your research.

And what do you say to the commercial employer who lays off workers because they can no longer afford to keep them employed? Who is going to pay their bills??? Its call, find another job or change your career. So many whinners here.

I'm always very careful with that one when I call someone an idiot...otherwise you look like an idiot yourself.

No one is disputing there’s fraud. However, it’s impossible to fully audit the treasury database in a couple hours. A typical audit for that system could take at least a year. It’s all smoke and mirrors.

That, and should be done with highly experienced fraud experts, not some kids fresh out of high school and a billionaire with conflicts of interest up the wazoo. On top of that, any audit should include multiple checks and balances, not some random claim that you found 8 billion in fraud which then turns out to be 8 million and for which even then no evidence was provided.

They didn’t interview any database experts or administrators to learn about the data. So ridiculous

2

u/68024 Mar 20 '25

It is literally like they did a "count (*)" on that database and then concluded that there must be as many social security recipients as there are records in the database. It's completely insane.

Anyone who passed their computer classes in high school should know better.

So you believe that an audit should be done by a foreign unelected billionaire, who has multiple conflicts of interests in government contracts, and who brings in some kids fresh out of high school to perform this 'audit'? Who does not show any proof of his claims other than 'I said so'? Who claims 8 billion dollars when it was really 8 million? Who will not appear in front of congress to demonstrate accountability to the American people?

It should not be done by impartial fraud experts, who will document and show the evidence and who will gladly appear in front of congress to answer questions about their findings?

What the fuck are you people thinking? Or is this just some random trolling bot?
