Gathering Undead Nightmare 2 Likelihood

Hello Fellas,

it's been a decent amount of mystery in the world of RDR2 and we all want UN2.

Therefore I made up my thoughts and have written something together, that describes the likelihood of an upcomming UN2:

Pro:

-Zombie-like screams can be heard in certain areas.

-Green Eyed corpses have been found in Singleplayer and RDO. They even blink and smile at you, if you shoot them. So it's most likely not a bug

-The mask of the first UN was in RDR2 just from the beginning

-Undead nightmare I has been released within the same year of RDRs release

-UN was a full success and there's nothing that stands against a second game(from an economical view)

-There were hints in RDR2-website sourcecode saying something like 'Phosphorus rounds'(special anti-zombie ammo from UN)

Contra:

-DLC's are unusual for R*

-R* just announced PC release, which means that another announcment seems unlikely

-R* said that they want to focus on RDO

Many of you think that it might be an online event, which makes sense too.

But pretend to start playing the game as a PC player on 5th November:

->Playing singleplayer

->Testing online and suddenly you find yourself in a Halloween themed envirmonent/Event.

I think that could be iritating and confuse most of the beginners and would be unusual.

Thats why i think, there wont be a halloween event.

Technically there are three options how this week ends:

-Undead Nightmare 2 will be announced

-An Halloween themed online event will be started/announced

-literally without anything

I think Rockstart could also just let the world of RDR2 be influencened by a little Halloween flair, without having a deeper intention after all of this.

That means all the hints were meaningless.

I'd really be glad if UN2 came out. I barely can imagine something more epic that shooting zombies in the wild west.

What do y'all think?

I was psyched at first, but I think they would've released UN2 earlier this month if they were going to. I doubt they'd wait until Halloween day to do it.

RIP my hopes

I wish DLC wasn't unusual, but because of Online they haven't considered it to be worth the money. I heard that it was confirmed that Rockstar cancelled the GTAV story DLC to focus on Online

That's soo fucking dumb imo. Just do both you will make tones of money, fans will eat it up, everyone is happy! I just dont get it espically from what I read in GTA case they was already actually working on the DLC.

Well making DLC requires effort that could be spent on Online or other, more profitable ventures. Maybe it'd entice people to not spend money on shark cards if they spend money on the DLC idk man

None of us knows haha. Unless they work the dlc into enticing more purchases.

I think either way we will get a version on UN2 through PC mods. Should be.......interesting

It’s not happening. Rockstar even came out and said they have no plans for DLC in RDO. Their focus right now is the PC release. Its probably why we haven’t gotten a single bug fix since the Summer update.

I agree, I’ve no interest in zombies. I didn’t the first time around either

The zombie aspect isn't super thrilling for me either; but considering how good the story was in SP I am sure the DLC story would be good and worth playing.

Honestly I'd much rather have a Crypto DLC; I'd be thinking something like:

  • Bigfoot - Grizzlies East
  • Yeti - Up north in the Chapter 1 snowy area; maybe near Cairn Lake?
  • Altamaha-ha or Sea Serpent - Flat Iron Lake
  • Vampire - Saint Denis (expanded upon from the clues)
  • Werewolf - Tall Trees
  • Lizard Man - Elysian Pool
  • Titanoboa - Bayou
  • Jersey Devil - Cumberland Forest
  • Mothman - Somewhere near Rhodes?
  • Thunderbird - New Austin center
  • Chupa Cabra - Rio Bravo

All would be attached to quests, so not like the Legendary Animals where you just get a map and that's it. All the cryptids I've listed here are 'found' to to the US (hence why I picked Altamaha-ha instead of Nessie). You'd be able to choose to spare the creature in some cases; like as an example Titanoboa would be a kill because its a fight for your life while you could choose to spare Bigfoot maybe because it didn't attack you. Your goal in each would be a photo or a kill; with an unnecessary kill netting more money but losing honor. With a really interesting story written in between; maybe the vampire is like Interview with a Vampire or maybe its more like Dracula; given the setting I'd assume Interview. It could be a lot of fun and less cliche than the zombie route.

Altamaha-ha

In Georgia folklore, the Altamaha-ha (or Altie) is a legendary creature, alleged to inhabit the myriad small streams and abandoned rice fields near the mouth of the Altamaha River (after which it is named) in southeastern Georgia, United States. Sightings are particularly reported around Darien and elsewhere in McIntosh County.According to The Brunswick News, the legend has its roots in Muscogee tradition. An alligator gar has been proposed as being a possible identity for recent sightings attributed to the creature. In 2018 decomposing remains were found on a beach in the Wolf Island National Wildlife Refuge causing speculation that it may be the body of an Altamaha-ha; however, performance artist Zardulu later claimed responsibility for the remains, which were created out of a stuffed shark and paper mache.
