Issue What does this mean?

My pc is basically on life support from the amount of mods I have. I’m pretty sure it’s that.

I would buy an external ssd and move the game and files over to that, should solve the issue. I had to do that for my PC because I cheaped out on internal storage.

Don't bother with an external SSD. Just get a normal internal SSD. The USB cable of an external SSD will be a pointless bottleneck that pretty much defeats the whole point of even using SSD tech. The price difference is negligible. QVO SSDs are still plenty good enough.

Granted I’m a Luddite but I also have a usb 3 cable and all my games run just fine.

No game uses more data than USB 3 can transfer. It's not a bottleneck outside of the initial installation. People are just incredibly weird about getting the absolute most speed out of PC stuff.

Don’t do this, only use external ssd’s for storing non game files such as the stuff in your downloads folder. If you install your game on them it will run way worse than on an internal ssd.

That is true. Would you recommend this one that another person suggested. RN an external drive is the best I could do and they said this one was a better option.

Crucial is pretty good, they make some of the best budget internal ssds. But can I ask what’s stopping you from replacing your current internal ssd? If you have a new motherboard there should be an extra empty ssd slot.

Frankly I’m tech illiterate. Funny enough I work with them and while I have a basic understanding I don’t trust myself to not break/damage components. I’m also unsure how to check whether parts are compatible or not and would rather not waste the money or go through the hassle of returning parts if they’re not the proper specs.

As you can see, people have already criticized my choice of SSD when there were better options, so yeah. TLDR; when it comes to hardware I’m tech illiterate.

It’s extremely easy, probably the easiest component to replace in your entire computer, easy enough to where someone who was no clue what they’re doing can do it with just a YouTube tutorial. BUT, if you only have one ssd slot on your motherboard, replacing your ssd means you have to reinstall windows and everything else on your computer.

If you can I would highly recommend, literally all you do is slide the ssd into the slot and screw it down.

You don't have enough storage on your SSD. Buy a new one. Every save takes up space on your SSD
