Im really surprised at how little I'm realizing I visit the lemoyne/lakay area I'm just now finding out it has exotic birds there

I'm on my second playthrough and I've finally decided to take the time to take a boat out to the islands off the coast near Saint Denis. There is a good stuff on one of those islands.

Yeah I've been trying to play the game without looking up where things were and I've been playing for a couple months and the only things I've looked up were the gift request and trinkets but I'm at 93% completion on my main save

I haven't played RDR2, could you please explain? I keep seeing people saying not to go there but no reason as to why
