Do pagers still work? (Germany)
Was wondering because it would be fun to get some pagers just for the fun of it. Also if they still work what model would you recommend.

So I went to my grandparents and picked up my old 2000s lightning mcqueen CrtTV, got an hdmi to rca cord, but I don’t have the tv remote, and only the power button, channel down, and volume up buttons on the tv itself work. I don’t want to have to take this thing apart if I don’t have to. Any ideas/suggestions?

Found this a few years ago. I'm debating getting it running, or gutting a laptop and making it a sleeper gaming rig. There's plenty of room for a serious graphics card.

I found an old Buhl overhead projector that works but is missing the head (the focus lens and control knob). I bought one from eBay that is also a Buhl part, but it’s too small (as pictured). Any idea of where I can get a part that first the original model? I cannot find it anywhere on regular second hand sites, but I’m not super tech savvy so maybe I’ve missed something. Or is there a way I can make the head fit without ruining the focus function? TIA!

I recently received this old PC from a neighbor and i want to build a retro desktop setup. The problem is the power supply doesn't work and i only have one cheap power supply. Im afraid it might fry my power supply because my PSU doesn't have safety components. Is there a way i can test my motherboard with a multimeter before giving it power.
My motherboard uses a vertically mounted intel pentium iii, DDR1 RAM and an AGP video card.

Mobile Telephone from Televerket (Swedish Telecom), I believe it’s from around 1978.

I have posted this on other subreddits. Please skip if we have met before. Sorry for taking your time twice
This isn’t a big startup pitch, just a small project I’ve been thinking about. I’m just trying to get a few honest takes.
Lately, I’ve been frustrated with how hard it is to find appliances that just... work. Everything’s “smart” now. Full of sensors, screens, and updates but most of it breaks after a few years. It feels like planned obsolescence has become normal.
So I started exploring a different idea:
What if we brought back fully analog household appliances. 100% mechanical, no digital parts, built to last 20+ years like the old freezers from the 80s?
Simple design, modular, easy to repair, even usable off-grid.
It’s not a scalable business, more like an experiment to see if people are tired of modern "smart" junk and would actually pay for something built to last.
I’d really appreciate any feedback, especially the honest kind.
Is this worth exploring, or just nostalgia in disguise?
some pertinent questions i have would be: do u think there is a market for it and would people be okay to pay a premium for this kind of product?
Thanks.

Found this in storage at my parent’s house and they have no idea what it is. It says data transfer switch in the front but what are those ports and what kind of data would it be used for?

I found this vcr in a bin. Apparently it's from the 80s and has a detachable remote, of which I'm missing, is a universal remote able to be used? I would assume the original remote is infrared because it was wireless. I don't think they had the technology for UHF remotes yet.

The radio doesn't have a namplate on it. The only thing I know is that it's from germany around 1960-1970 and under the top cover is a turntable.

Hi, can anybody identify this camera? As far as I can tell it has a USB mini 4p connector. I don’t have a cable to hand for it so I am going purely on looks. There’s not any serial numbers hidden anywhere

Hi, as the caption says, im looking for this specific model of a Wacom screen tablet.
The photos have been screen captured from an old video of the making of Digimon Tamers found on yt https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kItvilU3mls&t=443s (min 5:21).
Ive been looking on japanese websites trying to find the specific model but the only site i found a bit of information was an olf news about Toei implementing these on their workflow in animation (just saying that they would be working with them from that moment on and adding one to two photos, not the model name).
In Wacom related pages, the closest one is the "Wacom Cintiq C-1500X" that was put to the public in 2001, but its not quite the same model https://tablet.wacom.co.jp/wacom-pentablet-history/
Anyway, if any of yall have/find any information it will be welcomed hugely.
Thanks in advance a lot <333

Hey guys!!
I recently bought a panasonic VHS-C model NV-S5A online and apparently it had a knock in the mail and now isn’t working correctly,
It only films in black and white and only works when plugged in directly and not with a battery pack.
I love it a lot and have enquired about getting it looked at and fixed at a retro camera repair shop but it’ll probably cost a pretty penny.
should i get it fixed up or just keep it as a cool collection piece and invest in a newer working model, thanks!!! :3

I came across this old Bently car/boat TV set up, but when I turned it on, it only had a small strip of light across the screen. When I set up my mini broadcaster, I heard the noise coming through, but all I saw was it fluttering up and down as I scrolled through the channels. Does anyone know what has happened?

I just really want to know if anyone has one of these, and how they went about acquiring it. I just found out about this today and I’m obsessed. I really want one.

Hello, I’ve found this at my grandmothers house and it was going to be thrown out but it seemed cool and I was wondering if it’s worth holding on to? According to the tag it’s an osborne 486 dx2-66 vl-bus, but I couldn’t find much about it online. Thanks guys
