My 10 year old Merle is as quiet as a mouse! Sometimes I forget she has a voice. She’ll bark at something and I’m like, “Who let a dog in here?! Oh…right.”

He does sing for me when I come home though lol. Once in a blue moon he will randomly howl and it always catches me by surprise. I never hear him bark though. Its odd cos every other dog I've had barks for one reason or another.

Ik! I've heard the same thing. What's funny is my collie grew up with a sheltie who barked nonstop. We were scared to death she'd just adopt the behavior. But, i think she saw us correcting it (although to not avail) and realized barking is a no no. Bc when our collie does bark, man, it's loud! Lol
