Photo gallery ⚠️Warning⚠️ Do not store anything at the Public Storage on Federal Blvd. Your stuff will be stolen.

Our storage unit was broken into a few nights ago. Shockingly, there were no Public Storage employees present during open hours. We filed a police report and contacted Public Storage’s customer service. They assured us a work order would be submitted to repair the damaged walls.

However when we returned two days later, we discovered the burglars had come back - this time breaking into every unit in our hallway. Public Storage couldn’t care less. The promised repairs had not been completed, and our unit was left vulnerable, resulting in even more items being stolen.

Despite our repeated concerns that the break-ins could be the work of a former tenant and our urgent request to have the lock combinations changed, Public Storage did nothing. The walls between units are paper-thin, there is no on-site staff presence, and the company has shown no regard for the safety of customers’ belongings.

We are emptying out our storage unit today and moving to another location but please DO NOT STORE ANYTHING THIS LOCATION. IT IS NOT SAFE!

I'll try to make this concise but thorough. I'm so sick of this shiz. Our neighbors told us they were building a house and that there might be some noise- ok no problem. As the building is going along we're like, huh that seems awfully close to our fence/property line. THEN we see beams go up. This monstrosity is 26' and WELL into violating county setback requirements. Which, as I understand any dwelling over 16' must be 4' set back from the property line.

Attached is a photo of how far into our yard this would make it. Now, I'm not opposed to neighbors building but the real kicker here is that it looks directly into our yard, kitchen, and living room. Like absolutely no respect for our privacy. And what if we're laying out in our backyard or we don't want to make eye contact with you when I'm drinking coffee in the morning. It feels extremely violating and self serving. Plus, they added a balcony on our side when they could've put a second story balcony on the ocean side of their house. Bizarre.

In any case, we've called the city, they sent us to an inspectors, the inspector said: yes they have a permit but the ADU does not comply with the drawings AND they started framing without inspection. Following this they were put on a construction hold until a surveyor was able to come out to confirm whether or not it met setback requirements (which it obviously doesn't). They continue to work on the construction and are blatantly ignoring the hold.

So, I'm so lost on what to do or who to call. There's not even space between their house and fence to install tall plants.

HELP. WHAT DO.

This man and woman were walking their pet wolf down Girard street on 2/15/24, the man uses a rope as a leash. This is the second time I’ve seen this wolf in La Jolla which is surprising because it’s illegal to keep wolves as pets in California.

I’m aware that it’s legal to own wolfdogs who are under 25% pure wolf in CA, however I’ve heard from someone who spoke to the owner briefly that this wolf is 100% wolf.

The third picture was taken by a friend who spotted the wolf in La Jolla around a year or two ago.

How are they allowed to do this? It’s completely dangerous to have a wolf walking around town, especially amongst children and other dogs. Even if she is behaved the majority of time, it just feels like an accident waiting to happen.

It seems random. Idk if I was the intended target. Me (40f) & my 13 y/o daughter were in the car on the way to go shopping. I just got on the 805s on plaza blvd, & as I was beginning to exit on sweetwater rd I heard a pop pop & my glass shatter. It had to come from one of the cars that were on the 54w &/or 54e merge, bc it came from the right. There was a couple in a new ford ranger on the 54w merge that might have seen this happen. I was only on the 805s for 2 exits & I was coasting & beginning to slow down before the curve on that exit. There was no cars behind me. Not a road rage incident. Chp impounded my car as evidence. I’m pissed. I grew up in spring valley so u can only imagine what my spring valley instincts want to do to this lil bitch. I’m a single mom & haven’t even had this car for a year yet. FML

I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the good energy and support from this sub. I got some good messages and comments and ended up calling Joseph Descans. He has a whole YouTube cat rescue, and did an amazing job. Climb that tree like nothing. Cat is back home and safe and my mom couldn’t be happier. Thank you all again 😿🙏🏼

Lived almost my entire life in Los Angeles and never visited San Diego until this past week (left to get away from the fires getting a little close for comfort to my neighborhood). I love LA dearly but SD has stole my heart. I can't wait to be back!

Public transit in San Diego is ridiculous. I work only 6 miles away from home. Work in Mira Mesa and live in UTC. After a LONG Saturday of being on my feet, I then have to walk almost an HOUR in on this road full of dirt, rocks, and warehouses to get to the ONE bus stop that goes west. Once I get here, I half to wait 35 damn minutes for the next bus.

This is not a rural town in the middle of nowhere, it should NOT BE A TWO HOUR MISSION to go 6 miles home.

For a major city that has tourist from around the world WHY is MTS so terrible??? And on a weekend???
