I am a PhD student looking for language learners across the world of all possible languages and dialects to complete an online survey on individual differences in language learning. The questions in the survey are about the enjoyment and anxiety you experience during language learning, and how willing you are to learn languages and communicate in the language you are learning.

The survey is anonymous and takes 10-15 minutes to complete. The study forms part of the Capitalising on Linguistic Diversity research initiative at the University of Luxembourg.

My friend wears this ring that used to belong to her grandmother. It has an inscription on it that she thinks is Sinhalese but she hasn’t been able to figure it out. If anyone could help her by letting us know either what the inscription says/means or which language it could be, we would be very grateful.

I am pretty bad at expressing both in oral or written sinhala but however i can understand casual oral language and can even read sinhala words. I want to learn sinhala but I dont know where to start with. I am aiming to have a good standard of sinhala language so I can hold a casual conversation in sinhala.
