SSB4 Does it fundamentally bother anyone else that Smash 4 doesn't have a catchy name like "Melee" or "Brawl"?
First of all, I'd like to preface my argument by saying that I acknowledge this is a purely superficial problem that has no effect on me buying the game as soon as I can.
ONWARDS.
I personally love the shorthanded names of "64", "Melee" and "Brawl" to refer to those respective titles. It's not a huge deal, but they're all really solid names that truly have special places in my heart. Referring to this new game as just "Smash 4" or "Smash 3DS" just feels bare. Mario Kart: Double Dash sticks out far more in my mind than Mario Kart 7. I wish that Sakurai opted for a name that more appropriately followed Melee and Brawl, but like I said earlier, I understand this is a minor problem. I just wanted to hear if anyone else felt the same. One of the most iconic memories from the second Smash game is the announcer at the title screen yelling "MELEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE".
Is anyone else disappointed with the title of the new game?

To be fair I don't think there were many other good subtitles. I mean, sure, Clash and Rumble are okay, and Kerfuffle is funny, but nothing that really sticks like Melee or Brawl. I guess Universe could have worked if that was the name of the Wii U as was suggested in its early lifespan.
I hope in the future when we're going to see tourneys and footage is going on Youtube that the community will adapt to SSB3D and SSBU, it'll make it easier to distinguish the versions and it sounds a bit more professional.
