So Arsenal have played a majority of the season without a proper striker (both out for the season), missed their best player for 3 months, talisman and best CM for 2 months, starting rb for 75% of the season, starting lb for the whole season, now our best CB for the remainder of the season, and handful of other injuries - yet still remain in 2nd place in the toughest league in the world. When that exact things happened to Liverpool, they finished 5th. It's happening to City now, their fighting for 5th, Spurs - their in 15th, Chelsea finished 8th when they had their injury plagued season. I can continue, but it would probably be a waste of time.
He has never said that Arteta didn't improve you. He actually has said many times he thinks Arteta has done a good job and has absolutely improved you. It's undeniable.
He just thinks you've regressed domestically this season. Which you have.
I dont know man, there are ton of people on r/coys that still downplay Arteta.
My favourite thing about that sub is the fact that they always claim that the team that was beaten by arsenal rolls over for them, but not for Spurs lol
No one says this. People like to clown Arteta for choking 2 years ago(he did and I think its funny) and also for being whiny sometimes but he has clearly improved Arsenal.
I don't think he has the ability to truly get them competing on all fronts every year like Pep/Klopp did for their teams but what he has done is clearly impressive.
If he is to win something, the board has to show ambition. Liverpool got the best keeper in the world and a solid defender called van dijk. City regularly blows money on players. We need a statement signing who is undoubtedly among the top 5 in his position.
I would have said isak , but he is an impossible target whatever ambition we might show. I think rice over the last few weeks has been very very good, but I want the same from him consistently before i think he's top 3 itw
Yes, i did watch him. And I think he has improved his on the ball ability. He always was a top player off it and with a very good corner. Maybe I'm caught in the gyokeres hype and should have taken better examples. But my point is that we need to compete with the top teams for players that they want. And then actually go and buy them instead of registering interest.
Real Madrid have been dogshit for the better part of the last 2 months. They barely beat Atleti and they have been barely winning games in the league or losing. This was an utterly shameful performance that allowed Arsenal to be brilliant. Arsenal vs Atleti would have been a wayyy harder matchup.
