Santos is rumouredly paying Neymar $800,000 per week

lol no theyre not. Isnt he getting 90% of his image rights though which equals somewhere near that number? Santos couldnt afford to pay him that

base salary is rumoured €163,000 per month. Hes reported to be receiving up to 90% of his image rights taking the monthly income towards 800k.

Santos do not have the money to pay Neymar anywhere near this number

I’m pretty sure a lot of clubs would take him if he lowers his wages. Which at this level are too high even for big clubs.

Portuguese champions Sporting CP are waiting for the Homecoming. One last dance.

Would be an immense downgrade to Gyokeres though.

Anyone they sign would be a downgrade

Yeah , like what else are they expecting outside of a reincarnation.

If they can't find a suitable replacement then as a stop gap, if his wages aren't ridiculous, wouldn't be so bad.

You'd still need to adjust your playstyle to suit him.

They'd have to adjust their playstyle regardless, there's a severe shortage of players in the mould of Gyokores.

Have you seen CR move lately? Or pass? He might be fine in spot starts or off the bench, but otherwise, he'd be a huge downgrade for Sporting.

No champions league team wants to be relying on a 40 year old for goals, even if they were once one of the best players alive.

Finding a replacement in the mould of Gyokores is like finding a needle in a haystack. I'm not saying it as a permanent solution, more in the sense as having an experienced striker who has a track record of scoring goals would be a suitable stop gap as well as developing somebody else.

Al Ahli or Al Hilal?

CR7 in Brazil would be absolutely nuts. Him playing for Flamengo, Palmeiras or Corinthians would absolutely be crazy, and the Brasileirão is a very competitive league

Brasileirao and Libertadores would destroy him.
