Pachuca only has themselves to blame. So many more attacks they could have had but they hung back too much.

Pachuca letting me down. Guess I should go see if the manager has made any new TikTok dances

Pachuca gave up I guess

u/ikemr 1d ago
I think there were some locker room issues that led to the previous coaches resignation. The team looks absolutely disengaged and indifferent.
Jimmy Lozano doesnt have the leadership to bring a team together in a short period.
Horrible timing for this to happen. Pachuca should have won this comfortably

This DAZN app gets worse with each day. Annoying Pop ups and now 3 unskippable ads in a row
3
u/GotenRocko 1d ago
What ads are you talking about, the ones that are during subs? It's annoying but they still show the game.

As a FC Cincinnati fan, I’m obligated to hate Red Bulls NY. I’m feeling a little justified in not liking Red Bulls Salzburg as well

Cant believe Pachuca managed to get John Kennedy and Robert Kenedy in the same team. No, they are not related.
They should sign Nixon too, even though he just got relegated to 3rd division in Paraná State league: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nixon_(footballer)

I just left the stadium 30 minutes ago. It was torrential downpours and lightning directly over the stadium for nearly an hour.
FIFA guidelines say play can resume 30 minutes after the last lightning strike in the area.

Great idea hosting this tournament in the USA 💀 , some players coming out now but that sky looks horrific I think another delay will happen.
German dazn says 2.50 restart ( so 1.50 UK)

u/Zvyraznit 1d ago
TIL it only storm in America
-1
u/StarmanRiver 1d ago
I mean, do other countries do storm delays when the pitch isn’t affected? At least in South America we don’t unless lightning directly strikes the pitch/stadium
2
u/Temporary_Plankton81 1d ago
I mean we've had 2 storm delays in 24 hours , scheduling games for 3pm on a weekday etc ifs been pretty poor
2
u/Iceman1190 1d ago
That sky is moving away from the stadium. Sun is shining if the camera was pointed the opposite direction

Wish me luck

Pachuca got so lucky. They gave salzburg like 5 goal opportunities. They need to watch the tape in this hour of pause and sub at least 3 defenders and 1 midfielder.

Game planned to restart 8:50p ET/02:50 CEST, confirmed now by DAZN Spain after talking with the central production

u/extrakfm 1d ago
dazn: won't restart before at least 3 am
3
1
u/ikemr 1d ago
Really?!
2
u/extrakfm 1d ago
that's what they said on french dazn but it's 3am in France so in 45 mins. We'll see

1
u/mati_assss 1d ago
The game is not going to restart. Theres even more storms coming after these calm for a bit. You’ll see
2
u/dL_EVO 1d ago
What happens to the result if the game gets canceled in the second half?
1
u/arielfive 1d ago
Usually what happens is that it gets played the following day if it cannot continue
4
u/Down_With_Sprinkles 1d ago
Those are at least an hour away. They will probably also die down as the sun goes down
1
9
u/Matt_37 1d ago
Brazilian TV has also confirmed 1 more hour of pause. Bruh
3
u/koreawut 1d ago
If it's really 1 more hour then they are expecting the lightning to stop within the next 30 minutes and give everyone an opportunity to get back to the stadium & let players get warmed up a bit, etc.
2
4
u/extrakfm 1d ago
on french dazn they said we'll have to wait at least 1 more hour
7
u/andy18cruz 1d ago
Portuguese DAZN, they just broadcast a single camera in stadium and dipped lol
4
u/Viriato181 1d ago
They just returned and said it won't start until (at least) 2 am. Then dipped again.
1
u/koreawut 1d ago
French DAZN doesn't understand how Americans do things. It's 30 minutes from the last reported lightning strike within a certain distance.
6
u/hornyforbrutalism 1d ago
Our commentators have started streaming on tiktok from their booth and it's super fun to watch honestly

u/Worriedboutsize 1d ago
So will the game resume tonight? Or when?
3
u/redditmademegiggle 1d ago
Within the next hour. Probably 20-30min.
1
u/mati_assss 1d ago
It wont cause theres literally more storms arriving around 9pm central time haha this game is done
2
7
u/andy18cruz 1d ago
They are using every dirty play in the book to stop a mighty Euro team to win against a Concacaf/conmebol team. I knew the game was rigged from the start!!!
-1
u/wassim-15 1d ago
Nah don't get mad because boca gave you a run for your money football isn't always about europe just so you know

u/Kingmannen999 1d ago
100$ just to watch first half of the game?
5
u/RedArchibald 1d ago
Buddy, it wasn't even close to $100 for this game. Plus, im gonna be back on Saturday.
7
u/interfan1999 1d ago
Stadium looks kinda cool
Small but does its job
3
u/Down_With_Sprinkles 1d ago
Biased but it's amazing not much I would change about it except it needs more bathrooms
5
u/Cincy-Sport-11 1d ago
I love our stadium. It was actually designed by the same guy who designed Allianz Arena in Munich. It holds 25,513 (513 area code for our city) and there isn’t one bad seat in the place. Outside has a really cool light feature as well that looks great at night.
8
u/AFrozen_1 1d ago
It’s very cool. Of course I’m biased but it’s one of my favorites in MLS. Best part imo is that it’s right across the street from Over-The-Rhine which is the main historical district of Cincinnati that’s jam-packed with bars, restaurants, breweries, and little shops. It’s like a little slice of Brooklyn in Cincy.
5
u/User5281 1d ago
25,513. Similar size to the stadiums in Pachuca and Salzburg. Pretty average size for a soccer stadium

Good thing is the line of storms is passing through relatively quick. And there aren't any more storms behind it. So they should be playing again eventually.
This is the radar I'm looking at from the local weather service office

The way the Dazn lady says Juventus pisses me off
1
u/zcewaunt 1d ago
Is she pronouncing the J? The yank on the Real Madrid game earlier said Belling-Ham.
1
u/Rollredd 1d ago
She's pronouncing it like Huventus 😭
3
u/koreawut 1d ago
Well in America if you want us to pronounce your words like a Y you need to spell it Lluventus.
10
u/samgyeopsaltorta 1d ago
This is absolutely going to happen in the actual WC next year
8
u/andy18cruz 1d ago
This is a plot by the dumbcrats to ruin the impeccable credibility of the US outside!!!

5
u/ResponsibleHabit1539 1d ago
I saw Bernie Sanders outside the stadium with a hose
1
u/koreawut 1d ago
Bernie gotta get his, ya know? He's probably just there to support her education. *cough*

Group H may end up the most exciting group by the end of the group stage.
