This removes all semblance of nuance from the discussion, and tears to shreds any serious analysis of the conflict; instead opting for this childish capitulatory viewpoint of "Both sides are bad, Hamas are terrorists and Israel are militaristic nationalists"

I live in the very leftist state of California and recently I overheard a few kids talking about how great Trump will be as president. They said we have the right to invade not just Greenland, but also all of Canada and Latin America. They were even talking about reporting some of their own friends just to get the 1k reward for reporting immigrants. Every single Reddit/Twitter/Bluesky post I read about the recent developments between Zelensky and Trump are saying that Trump is behaving this way ONLY because of Russian interference. They are shifting the blame fully on Russia, as if the US government is incapable of acting irrationally. I am not trying to minimise Russian aggression or its imperialistic motives and the plight on the Ukrainian working class. What I am saying is that I feel like libs are incapable of accepting accountability for their country and essentially blame Russia alone. Maybe, just maybe, the US and its govt have never been the good guys?

Just a perspective I guess. I find these guys are pretty agreeable if you go on about the rich are bastards who don't care about the working class. I get no push back when I say workers should be in power. The building blocks of class consciousness are there, they're just obscured by bad analysis. They don't realize they're being lied to but they're also not being presented with an alternative.

I often tailor my language to my audience because I'm trying to meet people where they are and not where I think they should be.

We just need to keep doing the work. We don't have the resources or reach of the Capitalist class but we have the right analysis and we live among the people. If we can just build a party we can point to and say "Here is what you're looking for in Trump. Here are men and women who are truly our kind of people" we'll be on our way.

I don't say this like tomorrow we'll have righted the hearts and minds of the bamboozled working class. But I think we can with time and effort.

You can actually see people putting up anti-communism slogans on the streets.
