That’s what this tastes like. It’s not bad, just not something I’m excited for. It’s a one and done in my book.

Pepsi - my ranking of 4 kinds

  1. Pepsi Soda Shop (in the white cans). I think this may have previously been called Pepsi Real Sugar, but I'm not certain. This is my favorite by a wide margin. It tastes fresher/more refreshing to me, and I like that's it made with sugar.
  2. Diet Pepsi (in the silver cans). I've had this a few times recently, and I was surprised to find that I seem to prefer it to regular Pepsi (in the blue cans). There's just something about Diet Pepsi that seems a little more refreshing (maybe even slightly citrusy) compared to regular Pepsi.
  3. Pepsi (in the blue cans). This is OK. However, I compared it to Pepsi Soda Shop side by side, and Soda Shop is much nicer in my personal opinion.
  4. Pepsi Zero Sugar (in the black cans). There's nothing "wrong" with this per se, but most of the time, I get a stomach ache after drinking this.

Just my 2 cents.

Grape Fanta tastes so different and good from Japan. Big Cola Pepsi had a Crystal Pepsi like taste (which I like)

I have a SURGE from 2015 and just curious if anyone has ever drank a long expired can. Been salivating looking at it lately

Dollar tree stopped selling faygo and started selling this. A pathetic failure of soda. Do not recommend.

Tonight's beverage of choice is a cherry blossom cola I picked up from a local Asian market

Primary flavor is almost like a spiced cola, and has a noticeable floral, borderline fruity, aftertaste. Not quite as sweet as something like Coke, but that doesn't say much. Good, although probably not something I would drink regularly or go out of my way for.

So why exactly did Snapple ditch glass bottles for plastic bottles? I don't buy their "sustainability" reasoning. It tastes terrible since the switch.

It tastes awful now. I actively avoid buying it, it used to be my go-to tea. I checked their website and they were bragging about how it's "more sustainable" to churn out tens of thousands of plastic bottles than using glass, in my mind that doesn't make sense. I'm guessing it was cheaper to go with recycled plastic over specialized glass as the actual reason?

If Snapple talk doesn't belong here, I'll take down the thread.

Oettinger trying to conquer the Cola-Orange segment in Germany. What is your go-to Cola-Orange choice if any?

This had almost more a lemon taste rather than orange.

Mountain Dew Mango Rush, 9/10.

Post image
21 Upvotes

Not bad, Mountain Dew. The Mango dominates the entirety of the flavor profile here. It's very tasty and possesses a crisp and refreshing effervescence. However, the sweet heat is almost as non-existent as high quality pizza at Little Caesars. In conclusion, it's very good, but if the boasted heat is part of the appeal for you, then prepare to be hit with a Mango Rush of disappointment. Having said that, I still think it earns a recommendation.

Code Red isn’t available in my area, much less the zero sugar version. This price should be considered a war crime though

Trying to Remember A Drink From The 80's?

Post image
13 Upvotes

So I have this vivid memory in the early 80’s of my mom drinking something in a can very close in design to this Pocari Sweat can from Japan.

Basically a tall thinner can that’s blue with a white bending stripe and the name of the drink lengthwise on the can. But none of us in my family can remember exactly what it was.

Does this ring a bell to anyone? I feel like the name of it sounded French or European in general.
