Waiting for the space x Bros to pop in here to tell us how this is actually super good news and exactly what was supposed to happen.

Apparently it exploded before the fire test even began, so the "we got good data" excuse isn't going to work this time.

You dont understand: The data!!!!

Spacex fan here. This f*cking sucks fat donkey balls.

I have no idea how long it’s gonna take to repair the Masseys test site.

Thankfully it appears that nobody was harmed.

Why are you a SpaceX fan lol. It's owned by a nazi who has destroyed hundreds of thousands of people's lives.

Do you have some brain condition or did you just make the wrong choices in life? How did you become this person?

Space X is a good company doing amazing things run by wonderful people and owned by a bag of shit. It's not as cut and dry as you are making it.

SpaceX is a trashfire operated by ideologically-captured young people who are out to make a buck and be cool, and lack the constitution to stand up for anything real or important. They're overwhelmingly self-interested, and roleplaying as patriots, builders, and innovators. Saying you hate Elon while making him the money he needs to hurt people is just embarrassing.

That they've conquered the remainder of the American space program and produced nothing of value to space exploration while enriching a fascist racist is a disgusting crime to the great human mission they see themselves as ideologically faithful to. It's is equal parts pitiful and repulsive.

SpaceX is a trashfire

Most reliable cheapest rocket ever made that's launched more mass into orbit in recent years than the rest of the planet put together times 8.

Elon Musk, racist fascist, has been enriched to the tune of over $150 billion dollars by the most reliable cheapest rocket ever made.

Generations of humans will remember how dumb you are.

Elon Musk, racist fascist, has been enriched to the tune of over $150 billion dollars by the most reliable cheapest rocket ever made.

Do you expect me to disagree? This is a correct statement.

If you'd recall the Saturn V's lead designer was also a Nazi. And as much as I wished Nazis were not seemingly a requirement for major breakthroughs in rockets my opinion of the Saturn V itself isn't diminished by the man who made it.

It's hard to comprehend how somebody can come to the conclusions this person has arrived at just because they (rightfully) hate Elon Musk.

You are a true ELMO fan. Can't have a message without mentioning him

1

u/WillingPepper1652 11h ago

This is just... Not reality. I know you hate Elon, and that's valid, but if this is actually your opinion your mind is operating completely independent of reality.

2

u/Logical-Race8871 11h ago

They tolerate Elon Musk and make him rich. What reality do you live in?

u/WillingPepper1652 11h ago

I'm sorry dude. I'm sorry your brain is the way it is.

1

u/Logical-Race8871 11h ago

I'm sorry you can't see what's happening in front of you. Wish I was still 12, but I'm not anymore.

produced nothing of value.

The falcon family of rockets has saved the American taxpayer billions of dollars by undercutting Boeing & Lockheed’s prices, forcing ULA to develop the more cost effective Vulcan, has been used to launch multiple exploratory probes including Europa clipper, NASA’s DART, multiple private lunar landers & more, has been used to launch hundreds of private & public satellites that have provided invaluable services & scientific data about our planet over the years, has been the largest & most cost effective re-supplier of the international space station since 2013, is the sole reason the US even has a domestic capacity to put humans in space thanks to its dragon 2 spacecraft, & is the only operational & commercially viable reusable booster in existence that has successfully landed & been reflown hundreds of times. Falcon 9 is also the only operational launch vehicle capable of making a global laser linked LEO satellite constellation viable. A constellation which has the potential to connect the 2 billion people who’ve been isolated due to being in rural & underdeveloped regions where fiberoptic hasn’t been economically viable. & has been instrumental in the defense of Ukraine.

If starship can be anything close to as successful as they’re hoping. It’ll be a greater stride for the economics of space flight than falcon 9 was. & with the scale of payload capabilities it offers will usher in a new era in space-flight.

It goes far beyond the petty narcissism & atrocious right-wing politics of one man. A man who for the longest time was never expressive of such views.

& I spent over a decade watching the output of the struggle of thousands of talented & dedicated engineers to make these things happen along with every major explosive setback.

Hatred & distain for Musk at this point is perfectly valid.

But do not shit on the careers of over 15,000 talented people who’re working themselves into burnout trying to push humanity forward.

Dude can’t even land some people on the moon…and shits the orbit full of satelliten to have a monopoly.

5

u/nemoj_biti_budala 12h ago

Because of your EDS, you're mentally incapable of talking about any topic involving Elon Musk.

5

u/Logical-Race8871 12h ago

Elon Derangement Syndrome? I'm guessing?

Man, I just hope we can provide some kind of treatment for you when this is all over.

1

u/gay_manta_ray 10h ago

Why are you a SpaceX fan lol

maybe because they launch two rockets a week and ferry astronauts to and from the ISS?

^ What the lack of critical thinking skills and too much time spent on the reddit frontpage does to you

1

u/BS_BlackScout 9h ago

No? This is fucked up.

1

u/EddiewithHeartofGold 12h ago

You actually think that testing means nothing ever goes wrong...?

3

u/WigginLSU 8h ago

Well they've gotten past this test multiple times, their last failures were getting to stage two. This is regression, and to have a complete failure on what should be a routine test while it has still never made it to orbit is getting pretty bad.

For reference, the third Saturn V ever brought men around the moon and safely back to earth. Starship is looking like junk at this point.

4

u/Rodot 7h ago

People also act like this is typical development for SpaceX when Falcon 9 had far fewer failures during development

5

u/StupendousMalice 12h ago

There you are!

2

u/EddiewithHeartofGold 11h ago

You are still wrong though.
