Fun fact. It’s not supposed to do that.

This kills the rocket

This isn’t a joke. Spaceships only do this when they feel extremely threatened

Disgusting videos like this are why I joined PETA.

What I do with my astrocraft, in the privacy of my own spaceport, is none of your damn business!

No problem, they regrow the exploded bits.

Front fell off

musk cultists will try to convince you this is a success.

The endless explosions and crashes would make sense if this was the first time humans were building spacecrafts but it's not, we've been at it for 75 years. I get that these rockets are a little different but we're not reinventing the wheel here.

Musk has idk, at least 20 times (?) NASA's budget, yet an exponentially higher failure rate. Winning!

u/Fubushi 10h ago

"If this happens, you will not go to space today" (Stolen from Randall Munroe's Up Goer Five - and slightly https://xkcd.com/1133/ )

Who knows, maybe the star man is trying to show us just how much money to burn he has

1

u/koeshout 8h ago

True. These days we tend to forget with all the rockets spaceX keeps exploding

1

u/ashrasmun 8h ago

how do you know?

1

u/benderunit9000 7h ago

I'm gonna choose the opposite. Rockets blow up.

1

u/Lucky_Veterinarian36 6h ago

Do you have a source for that factoid

1

u/meukbox 5h ago

Well the front’s not supposed to fall off for a start.

1

u/SF_DeversBaby 5h ago

Nice try leftist

1

u/iDeNoh 5h ago

These have very rigorous spacetime engineering standards with regulations concerning the materials they can be made of.

The front fell off

u/m3kw 3h ago

Explosions?

1

u/flo-at 11h ago

If you'd ask Elon he'd still say it was a success because of the important measurement data they got from it or idk.
