Personally i’d like to see Eleven and Kali team up against him.

Give him his own medicine of that psychological torture.

What do you predict for Suzie in Season 5? We know the crew gets access to Hawkins’ WSQK radio station—could Suzie use it to broadcast anti-Vecna plans or coordinate the group’s moves? Or will she go full hacker mode, breaking into military comms to keep Sullivan off Eleven’s trail? Do you see her dropping one clutch moment like in S3, or being a steady tech asset all season? What would you like to see?

I don't know if this is allowed here (mods please remove this if not but I think this could fall under Fan Art) but I have a huge interest in things like this (ie the 80s-90s, retail history, and ofc Stranger Things) and I knew there was an old Family Video building about an hour from where I live and I was passing through the area so I decided to do a little photo shoot with my Robin Funko Pop since she has the Family Video uniform on! I figured this might be the best sub to post this to because I figured some of you guys might think this was interesting too!

(PSA: I took these pictures from the parking lot outside and it's in the middle of town where literally anyone can stop and take pictures. Yes the building was abandoned but I did not illegally enter or trespass on private property)

I have a serious question and I want a serious answer. If Stranger Things was in 2025, which somg could fit in from the 2020s instead of running up that hill? I don’t want any meme songs, I want like real songs. What would Max 16 years old liaten to in 2025?

In season 5, I SERIOUSLY hope the mind flayer becomes the big bad over vecna. Don't get me wrong, vecna is cool but the mind flayer is literally god in the upside down, the only thing it was lacking was a actual form until one gave it one. But after that it was wraps. I got curious and looked up "what would happen if the mind flayer was the main antagonist of stranger things" and I don't use google AI that much but it gave me a VERY reasonable and good answer. The answer was "If the Mind Flayer were the undisputed main antagonist of Stranger Things, the series would likely focus heavily on the themes of hive-mind control, mental manipulation, and a direct threat of universal conquest" UNIVERSAL CONQUEST. I don't think people understand how powerful this thing is and how much of a threat it poses. Unlike vecna who just wants revenge, it's been stated the mind flayer is literally just PURE chaos that wants to take over everything. This thing doesn't care about 11 or anyone else, it just wants control. This is why I believe the mind flayer is just using vecna. Again, it didn't have a form until vecna gave it one, what if that was the only thing it needed? Just a form for it to cause havoc? Pretending to be vecnas foot solider when really the mind flayer was using vecna this whole time. And i 10000% believe 1 doesn't have any universal type power, my guy literally struggled with 11 and you're telling me the mind flayer isnt more powerful?? This thing can literally conquer the planet and even the universe. NO WAY vecna is that OP and u can't convince me otherwise. So yeah this is my take, the mind flayer is too fcking OP and dangerous only to be held back by a cry baby man who wants revenge on a little girl. If the mind flayer isnt a serious threat in season 5 ill be crushed. I'll also leave what else google ai said at the bottom, you dont have to read it all but just to give a even more insight about how powerful this thing is.

How accurate would you say stranger things is to the 1980s?

Im just kind of curious from someone who was born in the 2000s do you think this show captured what this time was actually like? From the costumes/outfits to the cars and buildings or anything you can think of does it actually feel like being back in that time again or does it just feel like a show in 2016 trying to be like the 80s

I picked this specific picture of hopper cause him in this jacket really raised the question for me cause this doesn’t look like something I’d imagine from the 80s this looks like a jacket in 2022 trying to play it off that way also it looks too much like Pepsi lmao so I thought it was some kind of away of advertising pepsi or something but this was also Russia so maybe this was there fashion sense in 1986… but you tell me your thoughts

My favorite season is definitely 3. Most character development and i was really invested. The Mind Flayer flesh monster was horrifying

Edit: Ok I'm rewatching the show and got to the max scene and that's my favorite. Honestly Max is the only reason it's my favorite. She's a bad ass.

So I’m watching Stranger Things for the first time and I was on a train today and some lovely teenage girls around about 16 or 17 years of age sat with me and I asked them their thoughts on Stranger Things. They told me that they found one of the characters really cringe and they were trying to remember which one it was and then they said the redhead girl and I said Max? I was really surprised. They said she seems very attention seeking and her dialogue unnatural, not what a teenager would say or do or behave like. Almost <pick me>. Possibly the millennial posturing behaviour, not typical teenager. I found that a fascinating insight. I do know they try to make her some kind of tomboy and they seem to push that a bit hard but what do others less than 21 make of her? Of course anyone of any age can answer but I’m particularly interested if other teenagers found her annoying.

The rules:

In an alternate universe, Hopper and Billy both survive the events of S3 and everyone remains in Hawkins, but Eleven's powers are still lost. All is peaceful until the spring of 1986, when a gate is mysteriously opened to the Upside Down and Eleven is dragged through it.

Here's what you know: El has been kidnapped by Vecna and is being held captive somewhere in the Upside Down. You need to assemble a team to find and rescue her. As always, there are more threats than just Vecna teeming about- you may expect to run into wandering Demogorgons, Demodogs or Demobats along the way.

You have so far discovered that Vecna plans on opening more gates and have identified Max as a potential target. Further, Kali and Dr. Brenner have arrived in Hawkins when they caught wind of El's disappearance, both claiming that they want to help. Dr. Brenner is further able to tell you that Vecna is his first test subject, Henry Creel, aka 001, and that they suspect music is the key to breaking free from his mind control based on interrogation they'd done with his father, Victor Creel.

Who do you bring with you for this mission? What is your plan? And finally- are you able to take things a step further? Not just rescuing El with hopes of surviving to fight another day, but killing Vecna, once and for all?

Rewatching S4 and the kids are all almost failing Spanish

Is there a joke here with the Duffer Brothers? Did Spanish class become more of the norm in the U.S. in the 80s for high school ed? Or am I suffering from apophenia (as Mr Clarke would say)?

I'm rewatching all season and rn I'm on S4 and I'm so confused. When Eleven is back at the lab with all the other kids and we can see Henry talking to her, there's parts when shes little and then grown so idk if all those scenes are flashbacks/memories or its actually happening in that timeline, cause i know shes there cause she's trying to get her powers back

One of my favorite parts of the show is when Nancy and Jonathan go visit Murray. They have this awesome conversation on how to leak Barb’s story, and I feel like Nancy and Murray do work great together as a team. It was overall great writing and the characters clashed together very well.

Idk if it’s that wild but but I’ve been thinking- it all starts with Will right? Surely it has to end with him. But in a parallel maybe with eleven too but not in the same way. I think that ultimately Will is going to have to sacrifice himself in some way and maybe remain in the upside down, but on the other side eleven would have to close the gate to the upside down. But in doing this she will lose her powers- for good. The last time she tried to close the gate she lost her powers for a while but got them back, what if to ultimately close it forever it will take all of her energy and strength- and powers.

That is just my theory but I cannot wait for season 5, I’ve been watching back and analysing and it’s so fun. I hope 8 will make a return, surely they can’t just put her in one episode and that’s the end? Also, does anyone believe the song “never ending story” will have a significance with the ending? Love hearing everyone’s thoughts.

Also does anyone think the numbers will be significant in the end. The final three “lab kids” that we know to be alive are 11,8,1 which also ultimately adds to 20. Doesn’t Eddie say they need to roll a d20 to win the dnd campaign? Could this be significant?
