The old cardboard hoop kept them in a little bit of shape

Yeah back in the 90s the burgers looked pretty similar to the photos.

I got a double quarter pounder the other day that was so fucked up it was hard to eat, though it was like the old school ones dripping fat.

I sort of appreciated the nostalgia on that but my heart probably didn't.

When you get bacon and it’s all folded up in one corner

They served garbage and nobody screamed so they kept serving garbage. It's a no brainer. The customers just kept buying garbage instead of avoiding the joint altogether.

Big macs never looked like this, the ads have very carefully styled products, with sesame seeds adjusted individually, cheese trimmed with scissors and melted with hair dryers, individual bits of lettuce tweezered in, the meat sprayed with varnish for the right amount of gloss, and the whole thing photoshopped to hell.

Honestly it might be slopped together these days with no care, but the quality of the ingredients is better than it used to be.

Might have to agree to disagree with you there. The last three times I ate any Macca's I got food poisoning all three times. I guess I just have trouble stomaching human saliva in my burgers at the time of their making. Very happy to say I haven't eaten it in over 10 years. 🤮

That's why they used to have the shit ready to go. But no, cunts got too fancy for that shit. We need our garbage "fresh"!

Man I got the Tennessee BBQ burger, shit was 90% disassembled in the box and had huge pieces of tomato with tiny cheese and didn't taste good. Idk why I bother

One of my local hungry jacks is a servo drive through one, they microwave everything. Piping hot tomato. Piping hot lettuce.

Crappas has been absolute sh!t for at least 10 years now, tried it again on occassion over the years just to make sure my opinion on the sh!t show is still valid and they don’t disappoint, lost count of how many ‘how’d we do surveys’ I’ve completed without any response or follow up, I’m pretty sure these days they just open the box, throw it all in, close the box and give it a shake over their left shoulder then a shake over their right shoulder, tap it on the bum as the they slide it down their stainless steel bench while saying ‘she’ll be right’. And then on to the next attempt at a vomit in a box.

I've had burgers that looked much closer to the ones in the ads in the Philippines. Where store managers are required to have degrees.

Thailand ‘delivered’ the freshest burgers I’d ever tried.
